What it does
Motiscope is a Claude Code plugin that turns a screen recording of an animation into working code. You provide a recording and the plugin returns an implementation in GSAP, CSS, Framer Motion or Lottie. The README notes: recreating someone else's animation from a recording is a copyright question, use the plugin for your own work and samples you are allowed to repeat. Installation: `/plugin marketplace add github:KumarSashank/motiscope`, then `/plugin install motiscope@motiscope`. Version 1.0.0 from 09.07.2026, MIT license.
Who it is for. For frontend developers who need to turn their own or a permitted animation from a recording into GSAP, CSS, Framer Motion or Lottie code.
Good fit when
- You have an animation recording and need GSAP or CSS code
- You need to move an animation into Framer Motion or Lottie
- You need to restore your own animation without sources
Not a fit when
- You want to repeat someone else's animation without permission: a copyright question
- You need an exact result without rework: the code has to be checked
Example request
Turn the screen recording of a button animation into CSS and GSAP and compare duration and curves with the sourceLimitations
Recreating someone else's animation from a recording is a copyright question by the README's own note. The code is derived from a recording, so check it in the browser. The plugin reads recording files and writes code, so access is extended.
How to disable. Remove the skill from the agent's folder or the plugin through the plugin manager.
