Superpowers Marketplace

Jesse Vincent's Claude Code plugin marketplace: Superpowers, cross-session memory, Chrome, writing style and more

PluginMedium risk

obra/superpowers-marketplace

Install

/plugin marketplace add obra/superpowers-marketplace
/plugin install superpowers@superpowers-marketplace

Other plugins: elements-of-style, superpowers-developing-for-claude-code, private-journal-mcp and the rest from marketplace.json.

This is third-party code. Review the repository files before installing.

What it does

The repository plugs into Claude Code as a marketplace and makes the Superpowers author's plugins installable. It includes the core Superpowers skill set for TDD, debugging and planning, the experimental superpowers-lab, Chrome access over DevTools Protocol, episodic-memory search across past conversations, a private journal MCP server and a skill based on Strunk's The Elements of Style. There is also a plugin for building Claude Code extensions and a tool to drive other sessions via tmux. Each plugin installs separately and lives in its own repository.

Who it is for. For Claude Code users who want Superpowers and related plugins from a single source.

Good fit when

  • You want to install Superpowers and get updates
  • You need memory of past Claude Code sessions
  • You are building plugins and skills for Claude Code

Not a fit when

  • You do not use Claude Code and cannot add marketplaces
  • You need a single plugin and prefer installing it straight from its repository

Example request

Install Superpowers from the obra marketplace and start a /brainstorm for the new feature

Limitations

The marketplace itself is only a catalog; plugin code comes from separate repositories. Plugins differ in license and maturity; superpowers-lab and superpowers-dev are experimental, and the dev build must not be installed alongside the main one. Some plugins run hooks and MCP servers.

How to disable. Uninstall plugins via /plugin and remove the marketplace with /plugin marketplace remove superpowers-marketplace.

Security check

  • Plugins run hooks, scripts and MCP servers
  • Plugin code is pulled from other repositories and updates over time

README in short

The README shows how to add the marketplace to Claude Code and describes several plugins with install commands: Superpowers, Elements of Style, the Claude Code development plugin and Private Journal MCP. The full versioned plugin list is in .claude-plugin/marketplace.json. Marketplace metadata is MIT licensed; plugins carry their own licenses.

FAQ

How is this different from the superpowers repo?

superpowers is the skill set itself; the marketplace is the catalog used to install it and the author's other plugins.

Do I need to install every plugin?

No, each installs separately with /plugin install name@superpowers-marketplace.
