What it does
Han is a Test Double plugin suite that packs work a team would split among several people into Claude Code skills. Each skill dispatches specialist agents, from a project manager and an adversarial reviewer to testing and security experts. The skill folds their findings into one document. Skills are called by command. `/plan-a-feature` builds a specification through an interview, `/plan-implementation` turns it into a plan, and `/code-review` checks a branch or chosen files. `/investigate` looks into a bug and validates the proposed fix, and `/architectural-analysis` assesses a module's coupling. `/code-overview` helps you get to know unfamiliar code, and `/post-code-review-to-pr` posts the review as comments on a pull request. The commands chain together: plan a feature, plan the implementation, build test-first, review the code and write the PR description. The number of agents depends on the task size. The main `han@han` plugin pulls in eight core parts, from the core to reporting. Five more plugins, such as Atlassian and Linear, are optional.
Who it is for. For solo product engineers and small teams who want plans, reviews and documentation from a set of agents in Claude Code or Codex.
Good fit when
- You need a feature specification built through an interview with an agent, and an implementation plan from it
- You want a deep review of a branch or set of files by several specialist agents
- You need to understand a bug: find the cause and validate a proposed fix
- You want to grasp an unfamiliar module or PR quickly through an overview that runs from why the code exists to the details
- You want a review posted as comments on a GitHub pull request after the text is checked
Not a fit when
- You need a tool for a large enterprise team: Han is built for solo engineers and small teams
- The task is small and dispatching a swarm of agents costs more than the edit itself
- You use an agent without plugin support: installation goes through the Claude Code or Codex marketplace
Example request
Run /code-review on the current branch and show which findings the specialists consider critical.Limitations
Each skill runs several agents, so token use is noticeably higher than for a single request. The Atlassian and Linear plugins are optional, and Linear needs a connected MCP server.
Codex does not yet support meta-plugins such as `han@han` and resolves no dependencies, so packages are installed one by one, starting with han-communication. The project is maintained on a best-effort basis with no contractual response time: maintainers aim to answer GitHub issues within two weeks. Working with Claude from Russia was not checked for this card.
How to disable. In Claude Code remove the han plugins through the `/plugin` manager. In Codex remove the installed Han packages, and clear the output directory set in `.han/config.md` by hand if needed.
FAQ
How do I install Han in Claude Code?
Run `/plugin marketplace add testdouble/han`, then `/plugin install han@han`. If you need only one part, install it on its own, for example `/plugin install han-coding@han`.
How do I install Han in Codex?
Add the marketplace with `codex plugin marketplace add testdouble/han`, then install packages one by one with `codex plugin add`, starting with `han-communication@han`. Codex does not support meta-plugins yet.
Which Han plugins are optional?
`han-feedback`, `han-atlassian`, `han-linear`, `han-ddd` and `han-plugin-builder`. They are installed separately. Alongside `han-atlassian` you need `han-communication`, because the wrapped skills take their readability standard from it.
How does Han differ from a set of separate skills?
Han skills dispatch specialist agents and pass results along a chain: specification, plan, implementation, review. The chains are mapped in the repository's `docs/workflows.md` file.
How do I configure Han for a project?
The optional `.han/config.md` files, one personal and one per project, set the output base directory, the default swarm size, a writing-voice profile and extra agents.

README in short
The author describes Han as a set of skills and agents for the whole cycle, from planning to documentation. A plugin table explains what each one brings, and the support section says the project is personal with Test Double backing.
