What it does
The repository has no source code: it is folders by vendor (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI, Perplexity, Cursor, Windsurf, Devin, Manus, Replit, Lovable, Vercel, Cline, Mistral and others) with text files of system prompts, instructions and tool descriptions. The README explains the aim as AI transparency: to trust an answer you need to understand which instructions the model received. The repository accepts pull requests with prompts extracted or reconstructed from models.
Who it is for. For agent developers and prompt engineers who study how instructions are built in popular AI products and compare the approaches of different vendors.
Good fit when
- You want to see how a vendor words an agent's behavior and tools before writing your own system prompt
- You want to compare how the instructions of Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Devin are built
- You need examples of a system prompt structure for an agent with tools
Not a fit when
- You need verified and current texts: the repository does not verify authenticity
- You need a ready solution to run: this is only text to read
Example request
Open the Cursor folder in the repository and list which instructions about tools and file editing it mentionsLimitations
The texts were extracted from model answers or reconstructed, so the authenticity and currency of the files are not confirmed. Rights to the original texts belong to the vendor companies. The AGPL-3.0 license applies to the repository itself and not to the prompts inside it. We do not copy the prompts into the catalog and do not describe ways to extract them. There is no installation: read the repository on GitHub or clone it with git clone.
How to disable. There is nothing to disable: the repository is only read. The clone can be removed by deleting the folder.
