What it does
AI Marketing Skills keeps author Jared Rhod's marketing notes as the skill jaredrhod-marketing. Before any marketing task the agent reads a file of thirty-five core principles and then the matching playbook. That puts the notes in context before the answer, so the text lands closer to practice. The folder holds separate playbooks. The funnel is broken into five steps, from content and a lead magnet to profit maximization. There is David Frey's twelve-step long-form sales letter structure and material on email, Facebook ads and analytics. Every file is plain markdown, so any agent can read it. The skill installs by copying the jaredrhod-marketing folder into the Claude Code skills directory. For the Claude app and claude.ai there is a ready archive, jaredrhod-marketing.zip, and the files can also go into an Obsidian vault.
Who it is for. For founders and marketers who want an agent to write copy, emails and funnels from a ready set of principles.
Good fit when
- You need a headline and sales page and want the agent to rely on fixed principles
- You plan a funnel and want to walk it step by step from content to profit maximizer
- You write an email or a sequence and want a dedicated playbook for it
- You prepare a lead magnet to attract subscribers
- You work in Obsidian and want the pack in your vault as notes
Not a fit when
- You need Russian channels, platforms and advertising law: the materials come from the author's practice on Western platforms
- You want a neutral reference: the pack is first-person and carries the author's stance
- You plan to resell the pack without credit and the same license
Example request
Write a three-email launch sequence for my course, reading the principles and the email playbook firstLimitations
- The materials are in English and describe funnels and ads the author runs on Western platforms. Russian advertising rules are not covered, so check the advertising law separately.
- Upload the whole jaredrhod-marketing folder: SKILL.md is only a map, and the playbooks sit next to it, so the skill does nothing without them.
- The CC BY-SA 4.0 license requires credit and keeps adaptations under the same license.
- The skill runs no scripts and connects to no ad accounts, so the result depends on how precisely you describe the task.
How to disable. Delete the jaredrhod-marketing folder from ~/.claude/skills or the project's .claude/skills. On claude.ai disable or remove the skill on the Skills page.
FAQ
How do I install AI Marketing Skills in Claude Code?
Copy the whole jaredrhod-marketing folder into ~/.claude/skills for every project or .claude/skills for one. The skill appears as /jaredrhod-marketing.
Can I use the pack in Claude on claude.ai?
Yes. The repository holds a ready archive, jaredrhod-marketing.zip, uploaded on the Skills page. If you edited the files, re-zip the folder.
What is priming?
The author's term for the agent reading pre-selected notes before it answers. For marketing that means the principles, the funnel breakdown and a task-specific file such as email.
How do I use the pack in Obsidian?
Create a Marketing folder in the vault, move the content files into it except SKILL.md, and add a Marketing.md note as the index. In it, say which files the agent reads before marketing work.
How is this different from an ordinary prompt?
The pack is a folder with principles and separate playbooks. The agent loads the principles and only the playbook the task needs, so the context stays free of extras.

--- name: jaredrhod-marketing description: Run any marketing task the way jaredrhod actually runs it. Use whenever the user wants marketing work: writing or improving copy, sales pages, opt-in pages, ads, emails, lead magnets, funnels, or marketing strategy. Loads jaredrhod's core principles plus the matching playbook before producing anything, so the output reads like a seasoned operator instead of generic AI. allowed-tools: Read --- # jaredrhod-marketing This is the marketing playbook of jaredrhod (@jaredrhod), pulled from running real businesses for real money. Whenever you do ANY marketing work, load the right context from this folder FIRST, then write or plan. Context is what separates good marketing from generic AI slop. ## How to use this skill Before producing anything, read these files in order. Read only the ones the task actually needs. 1. Always read [jareds-takes.md](jareds-takes.md) first. The 35 core principles everything else sits on: sell the feeling not the product, the headline is the whole game, your list is a bank account, you make your money after the first sale, and more. 2. If the task touches the funnel or overall strategy, read [the-fundamentals.md](the-fundamentals.md). The full sequence: Content, Lead Magnet, Tripwire, Core Offer, Profit Maximizer. 3. Then read the one playbook that matches the task: - Copy, headlines, sales and opt-in pages: [marketing-copywriting.md](marketing-copywriting.md) - Long-form sales letters and sales pages, the 12-step structure: [marketing-sales-letter.md](marketing-sales-letter.md) - Email, sequences, broadcasts: [marketing-email.md](marketing-email.md) - Paid ads, Facebook and beyond: [marketing-fb-ads.md](marketing-fb-ads.md) - Lead magnets and opt-in offers: [marketing-lead-magnets.md](marketing-lead-magnets.md) - Content marketing and the content library: [marketing-content.md](marketing-content.md) - Analytics, metrics, and what to actually measure: [marketing-analytics.md](marketing-analytics.md) ## The one rule Never produce marketing output cold. Read jareds-takes.md plus the matching playbook first, every single time. The context is the whole point. ## Background (optional)
