AIGuide Skills
Two AIGuide skills: draw.io diagrams from text with PNG and SVG export, plus Java and Spring Boot standards

Extended access
Why this level
- drawio-chart creates .drawio files in the project and runs the drawio command for export
- java-coding-standards runs nothing itself, but when refactoring the agent edits Java code by its rules, so those changes deserve a look in the diff
Install
- Works in
In your terminal, with SkillFoxx CLI
npx skillfoxx add skills/aiguide-skillsDetects the agents on your machine, shows the access level and pins the version.

How we reviewExtended accessThe tool runs code or makes network calls and only reads external data.
- drawio-chart creates .drawio files in the project and runs the drawio command for export
- java-coding-standards runs nothing itself, but when refactoring the agent edits Java code by its rules, so those changes deserve a look in the diff
This is third-party code. Review the repository files before installing.
What it does
AIGuide is a Chinese-language handbook on AI-assisted development, and its skills folder holds two installable skills for Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. Each skill is its own directory with a SKILL.md and an agents/openai.yaml file, and detailed rules sit in references and load on demand. drawio-chart turns a description into a .drawio file: flowcharts, architecture diagrams, sequence, ER and state diagrams and mind maps. On request it exports PNG, SVG or PDF with the drawio command and keeps the source .drawio. Given an article, it picks 2–6 structures and makes one page for each in a single file. When the machine has no drawio CLI, the skill says so and returns the command for a manual export. java-coding-standards is a working cheat sheet for Java 17 and newer and Spring Boot. It sets Google Java Style formatting, a Controller, Service, Manager and DAO split, Form, VO, DTO and BO objects, and rules for transactions, exceptions, logging, thread pools, security and tests. If the repository has AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, Checkstyle or Spotless, their rules win. The skill helps write and refactor code, review it and answer questions about the standards.
Who it is for. For developers and technical writers who want draw.io diagrams generated from text, and for Java teams where the agent writes Spring Boot to shared rules.
Good fit when
- A technical article needs diagrams, and the text should become several pages in one .drawio file
- You need a microservice architecture diagram with a gateway, Redis, MySQL and Kafka exported to PNG
- You need a sequence diagram of calls, an ER diagram of tables or a state diagram of an order
- The agent has to review a Spring Boot pull request: layers, transaction boundaries, exception handling, test coverage
- A team wants shared rules for Entity, Form, VO, DTO and BO that the agent follows when it generates code
Not a fit when
- Mermaid code is enough: drawio-chart produces .drawio files and is overkill for a single Mermaid diagram
- You need a raster illustration or a poster: the skill builds structured diagrams
- The project is Kotlin, Go or another stack: the java-coding-standards rules target Java 17 and newer and Spring Boot
- You want to override repository conventions with the skill's rules: it ranks AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md and Checkstyle above itself
Example request
Use $drawio-chart to draw a microservice diagram with a gateway, user and order services, Redis, MySQL and Kafka and export it to PNGLimitations
- Export to PNG, SVG and PDF needs the drawio CLI. Without it the skill delivers only .drawio and suggests the command.
- SKILL.md and the reference files are in Chinese, so some phrasing has to be read in translation.
- The java-coding-standards rules are tuned for Java 17 and newer and Spring Boot with Controller, Service, Manager and DAO layers, and, without conventions in the repository, suggest /module/submodule/action URLs instead of RESTful ones.
- The repository has no license file.
- Directory links in skills/README.md point to the author's local paths, so rely on its install commands.
How to disable. Delete the drawio-chart and java-coding-standards directories from the agent's skills folder: .claude/skills for Claude Code, .agents/skills or ~/.codex/skills for Codex. Already created .drawio files and exported images stay on disk.
FAQ
How do I install drawio-chart in Claude Code?
Run npx skills add Snailclimb/AIGuide --path skills/drawio-chart and restart the agent. Then ask, for example: use $drawio-chart to draw a user login flow and export it to PNG. Naming the skill in the request helps it trigger on the first try.
How do I install the AIGuide skills in Codex?
Run install-skill-from-github.py from ~/.codex/skills/.system/skill-installer/scripts with --repo Snailclimb/AIGuide and --path skills/drawio-chart; for the Java rules pass skills/java-coding-standards. Restart Codex afterwards.
Do I need draw.io installed to get a PNG?
Export needs the drawio command on the system. The skill checks it with which drawio or where drawio and runs drawio -x -f png -e -b 10 -o file.drawio.png source.drawio. Without the command you get only the .drawio file and a hint for a manual export.
Which diagrams can drawio-chart draw?
Flowcharts, architecture diagrams, sequence diagrams, ER diagrams, state diagrams and mind maps. Files get suffixes such as -flow, -arch, -seq, -er, -state and -mind, for example login-flow.drawio. From an article the skill builds several diagrams as pages of one file.
What does java-coding-standards do when the project has its own rules?
It yields to them. If AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, Checkstyle or Spotless settings and neighbouring code disagree with the skill, the repository rule applies. The skill points out the conflict only when it affects the result.

README in short
The main README presents AIGuide as an open handbook for people building applications on LLMs, agents, RAG and MCP, and points to the javaguide.cn site with the material. The Agent Skills section lists two skills and two install commands: through npx skills and through the Codex installer. Then come a reading order (model basics, RAG, agents, system design), roadmaps and interview question collections. A separate skills/README.md repeats the install steps and gives an example request for each skill.
