What it does
UnitySkills lets an agent drive the Unity editor through a REST API and skills: scenes, objects, components. The package is added to Unity by the Git link `https://github.com/Besty0728/Unity-Skills.git?path=/SkillsForUnity`. There are three permission modes: approval, auto and bypass, which mirror Claude Code modes and are switched in the Window > UnitySkills panel. Unity 2022.3 and newer is supported. Version 2.9.0 from 03.10.2026, MIT license. The README is in English and Chinese.
Who it is for. For Unity game developers who want to build scenes and set up objects from an agent with permission control.
Good fit when
- You need to drive the Unity editor from an agent
- You need per-operation permissions with confirmation
- You need skills for scenes, objects and components
Not a fit when
- You cannot let an agent change a Unity project without confirmation
- You need Unity older than 2022.3: 2022.3 and newer is supported
Example request
Create a scene with a ground, three cubes and a top camera and save it in Assets/Scenes, asking for confirmation on each changeLimitations
The agent changes the project's scenes and objects, so access is extended: keep the approval mode on by default. The bypass mode removes the checks and is described in the README as separate, so do not use it on a working project. Work on a copy of the project under version control.
How to disable. Remove the package in the Unity Package Manager and the skills from the agent's folder.
