What it does
Claude Office Skills is a set of 136 skills for business tasks, each in its own folder with a SKILL.md file. The skills are grouped by department. Legal work gets a contract review for risks and completeness and an NDA generator. HR staff get skills for resumes, offers and first-pass candidate screening, and finance gets DCF valuation, invoices and expense reports. Documents get a whole block: working with Word, Excel and PowerPoint, format conversion and document parsing with OCR. Presentations are built from Markdown and HTML. Separate groups cover correspondence, marketing and customer support. The mcp-servers/office-mcp folder holds the Office MCP Server with 39 tools for PDFs, spreadsheets, Word documents, conversion and presentations. The set also includes five ready agent roles and a knowledge layer with contract risk patterns.
Who it is for. For lawyers, HR staff, finance people and office managers who handle contracts, resumes and invoices in Claude Code or Claude.ai.

- There is no package installer for Claude Code; skills are copied folder by folder. The install.sh script installs the set into Moltbot. In Claude.ai the SKILL.md content is pasted into the conversation.
- The author's instructions point to ~/.config/claude-code/skills/, a folder Claude Code does not read.
- The legal materials cover the US (federal level and California), China and the EU and do not replace a lawyer's advice.
- Skills for Gmail, Jira, Asana, Mailchimp and n8n need access to those services.
- The DOCX, XLSX, PPTX and PDF skills come from Anthropic's official skills under a source-available license, and the rest of the repository is MIT.
- The MCP server is built from source, which needs Node.js.
How to disable. Delete the copied skill folders from ~/.claude/skills/. Remove the MCP server from the client configuration; the mcp-servers/office-mcp folder can simply be deleted.

What does the Office MCP Server do?
The server provides 39 tools: 10 for PDFs, including forms and OCR, 7 for Excel spreadsheets, 6 for Word documents, 9 for conversion and 7 for presentations.
How do I check a contract with a skill?
The contract-review skill looks for risky terms in a contract, checks completeness and gives recommendations. It relies on a knowledge layer with more than 15 risk patterns and 19 completeness items.
