Distilly
A skill that distills chats, documents and public sources into a reusable person profile for AI agents and compatible bots
Medium risk
We rate an entry medium when the tool runs code, makes network calls or reads project files. Check what exactly it does before installing.
Why this level
- Works with people's personal data: chats, emails and message exports
- Runs collection scripts and calls third-party services with tokens, including the paid Xquik
Install
In your terminal, with SkillFoxx CLI
npx skillfoxx add skills/distillyDetects the agents on your machine, checks the risk and pins the version.
Other ways to install
Run in a terminal in the project folder
npx skills add titanwings/distilly --skill distilly -a claude-code -yThe skills tool installs the current version from the repository. Add the -g flag to use the skill in every project.

Install Distilly from https://github.com/titanwings/distilly and verify the host discovers it. Then say "use Distilly to create a person profile" and pick the colleague, relationship or celebrity family.
Other ways from the author
Install Distilly from https://github.com/titanwings/distilly, then verify that this host can discover it.
The agent installs Distilly as a skill named distilly in the right host directory.
This is third-party code. Review the repository files before installing.
What it does
Distilly is a creator skill: from the material you provide it builds a portable, source-grounded person profile rather than one based on invented traits. The profile is built from observable experience, decision patterns, expression and ways of working, and Distilly does not claim to be a clone of the person. There are three profile families: colleague (a work skill plus a persona), relationship, and public figure with a separate multi-dimension research pipeline. Material can be supplied manually (text, PDF, emails, chat exports) or via automatic collection from Lark, DingTalk, Slack, WeChat and public X posts through a third-party service. The finished profile is packaged as an Agent Skill and installs into any supported host, among them Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode. A profile can be extended with new files, corrected by replies and rolled back to earlier versions.
Who it is for. For teams and people who want to preserve the experience and style of a colleague, mentor or public figure as a profile for an agent.
Good fit when
- A colleague or mentor is leaving and you want to keep their approach and standards
- You want an agent that answers in the manner of a specific public figure from public sources
- You have material about a person and want to build a reusable profile from it
Not a fit when
- You lack the person's consent or a lawful basis to use their chats and data
- You need fact-checking or a true clone rather than a profile of observable patterns
Example request
Use Distilly to build a colleague profile from this chat and these documents, the colleague familyLimitations
Profile quality depends directly on the quality of the source material; the skill describes observable patterns and does not claim to copy a personality. Some auto-collectors need permissions and setup: Slack needs an admin-installed bot and the free plan is limited to 90 days, DingTalk does not expose message history via API, WeChat must be exported first, and X post collection goes through the paid third-party service Xquik. Some sources and hosts require tokens and credentials. Working with other people's personal data is the user's responsibility and needs consent and a lawful basis.
How to disable. Remove the distilly folder from your host's skills directory and the generated profiles from the project's ./skills directory. Revoke any connected sources' credentials on their side.
Security check
- Works with people's personal data: chats, emails and message exports
- Runs collection scripts and calls third-party services with tokens, including the paid Xquik
README in short
The README describes Distilly, formerly Colleague Skill, as a person-modeling layer for agents: from material it builds a person profile and packages it as an Agent Skill. Three families are supported: colleague, relationship and public figure, each with its own source-collection strategy and profile structure. Sources include manual upload and automatic collection from Lark, DingTalk, Slack, WeChat and public X posts. Installation is by handing the link to the agent or cloning the repo into the host's skills directory, with details in a separate install guide. Profiles evolve through added files, reply-based corrections and version rollback, and the project is MIT licensed.

> Language: this skill supports English and Chinese. Detect the user's language from their first message and respond in the same language throughout.
> Skill Root: before reading a bundled prompt or running a bundled script, resolve the absolute directory of the SKILL.md the host actually loaded. Claude Code exposes it as ${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}; on every other host, use the loaded-skill path from that host's discovery context. Do not assume the shell's current working directory is the skill root.FAQ
Is this a clone of the person?
No. Distilly builds a profile from observable experience, decision patterns and expression grounded in sources, and does not claim to be a copy of the personality.
Which agents does it work in?
The skill supports native discovery in several hosts, among them Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode. For Grok Bot direct repo import is not yet verified and needs manual migration into a saved Skill.
