What it does
dzhng/skills is a set of small composable skills the author reuses across all projects. A chain for a big feature: `/explore-unknowns` breaks an idea down by areas of the unknown, `/write-spec` records decisions in a spec, `/goal /implement-spec specs/<feature>` builds the feature, and architecture, code and design reviews check each piece. There are standalone skills too, such as screenshot comparison. It installs with `npx skills add dzhng/skills`, and the `--list` flag lets you pick skills one by one. MIT license, no releases.
Who it is for. For developers who hand an agent a big task for many hours and want it to check against a spec and verify each piece.
Good fit when
- You need a chain from idea to spec to implementation
- The agent works long without you and must verify each piece
- You need separate review and screenshot comparison skills
Not a fit when
- You need a neutral set with no author habits: this is a personal library
- You need one ready skill: this is a whole system
Example request
/explore-unknowns for a PDF report export feature, then /write-spec from the resultsLimitations
This is the author's personal library: the order of work and skill names reflect their process. The chain is meant for long autonomous runs, which spend a lot of tokens and permissions: limit the agent's folder and permissions. The word telemetry in the README refers to the screenshot comparison skill and not to data collection. The repository has no releases.
How to disable. Delete the skill folders from .agents/skills and .claude/skills or use the removal command of your skill manager.
