What it does
figedit turns raster figures into editable SVG and native PowerPoint slides, recognizing text in the picture. It is for when you only have a screenshot or a picture of a diagram and have to edit it by hand. Installation by cloning into the skills folder: `git clone https://github.com/giszzt/figedit.git ~/.claude/skills/figedit` (for Codex `~/.codex/skills/figedit`), then `pip install -r requirements.txt`. The README is in Chinese and English. Version 0.9.0 from 13.08.2026, MIT license.
Who it is for. For those who need to bring diagrams and figures that survive only as a picture back into an editable form.
Good fit when
- You only have a picture of a diagram and need editable SVG
- You need native PowerPoint objects from a figure
- You need to recognize text on a diagram
Not a fit when
- The figure is complex and dense: the result will need editing
- You cannot install Python packages and recognition models
Example request
Turn this diagram screenshot into editable SVG and a PowerPoint slide, recognize the textLimitations
Recognition from a raster is inexact, so check and edit the result by hand. The skill installs Python packages and reads your files, so access is extended. Version 0.9.0, before the first stable one.
How to disable. Remove the skill from the agent's folder or the plugin through the plugin manager.
