Why this level
- The set is made of text instructions and runs nothing itself
- The github-pr skill walks the agent through commits and a pull request, and the confirmation stays with you
Install
- Works in
In your terminal, with SkillFoxx CLI
npx skillfoxx add skills/gentleman-skillsDetects the agents on your machine, shows the access level and pins the version.

What it does
Gentleman-Skills is a set of SKILL.md instructions in two folders: curated, with 18 skills by the author, and community, with six accepted by vote. The author describes curated as his own way of building code: the Scope Rule, file naming conventions and a signals-first approach. Curated holds four Angular skills (standalone components and signals, forms, performance with `@defer`, project architecture), React 19 with the React Compiler, Next.js 15 with the App Router, strict TypeScript, Tailwind 4, Zod 4, Zustand 5, Vercel AI SDK 5, Django REST Framework, Playwright and pytest. Two skills cover process: github-pr builds a pull request with conventional commits and skill-creator helps write new skills. jira-task and jira-epic draft tasks and epics. The community added electron, react-native, java-21, spring-boot-3, elixir-antipatterns and hexagonal-architecture-layers-java. Each skill sits in its own folder with a SKILL.md and an agent loads it by the trigger in its description. The README lists skills directories for Claude Code, OpenCode, Gemini CLI, Cursor, VS Code Copilot, Codex, Windsurf and Antigravity.
Who it is for. Frontend teams on Angular or React with Next.js that want to hand an agent ready-made conventions for their stack.
Good fit when
- A new Angular project should be built on signals and standalone components, without modules
- The agent writes React 19 components and has to account for the React Compiler
- A pull request is written up with conventional commits and one template
- Playwright end-to-end tests and pytest tests are written in one style
Not a fit when
- The project runs other major versions: React 19, Next.js 15, Tailwind 4, Zod 4 and Zustand 5 are baked into the skill names
- The team will not adopt outside conventions: curated reflects the author's personal view of code structure
- You need skills for Vue, Svelte, Go or Rust: the repository has no such folders
Example request
Create an orders list component in Angular using the angular/core skill: standalone, signals, inject instead of constructor injectionLimitations
The latest commit in the repository dates from March 2026. Skill names are tied to versions (react-19, nextjs-15, tailwind-4), so some rules may be outdated on newer majors. Copying the whole curated folder into a skills directory loads 18 descriptions into the agent's context, so take only the folders you need. Community skills are accepted by community vote, and the author does not review them. For a manual install the README suggests naming the skill to read first in CLAUDE.md.
How to disable. Delete the copied folders from the agent's skills directory, for example `rm -r ~/.claude/skills/react-19`, and remove the skill lines from CLAUDE.md if you added them by hand.
FAQ
How do I install Gentleman-Skills in Claude Code?
Clone the repository and run `cp -r Gentleman-Skills/curated/* ~/.claude/skills/`, or copy single folders such as curated/react-19. For other agents only the destination path changes.
What is the Scope Rule in the architecture skill?
It is the author's rule for placing code in an Angular project, covered by the angular/architecture skill together with file naming conventions. Details are in the curated/angular/architecture folder.
How do I submit my own skill to community?
A skill goes through a community vote. For the PR the repository suggests starting with the github-pr skill, and skill-creator helps assemble the new skill.
How do I wire a skill into an agent by hand?
Copy the skill folder into the agent's directory and add a line like «when working with React read `~/.claude/skills/react-19/SKILL.md` first» to CLAUDE.md.
Where are the skills directories for other agents?
OpenCode uses `~/.config/opencode/skills/`, Gemini CLI `~/.gemini/skills/`, Cursor `~/.cursor/skills/`, Codex `~/.codex/skills/` and Windsurf `~/.codeium/windsurf/skills/`.

README in short
The README splits the set into curated and community, keeps tables of skills with triggers by theme (frontend, backend and AI, testing, workflow), shows the skills directories of eight agents and gives two install routes: a quick copy and a manual one that hooks into CLAUDE.md.

## Const Types Pattern (REQUIRED)
```typescript
// ✅ ALWAYS: Create const object first, then extract type
const STATUS = {
ACTIVE: "active",
INACTIVE: "inactive",
PENDING: "pending",
} as const;
type Status = (typeof STATUS)[keyof typeof STATUS];
// ❌ NEVER: Direct union types
type Status = "active" | "inactive" | "pending";
```
**Why?** Single source of truth, runtime values, autocomplete, easier refactoring.
## Flat Interfaces (REQUIRED)
```typescript
// ✅ ALWAYS: One level depth, nested objects → dedicated interface
interface UserAddress {
street: string;
city: string;
}
interface User {
id: string;
name: string;
address: UserAddress; // Reference, not inline
}
interface Admin extends User {
