What it does
The skill teaches the agent when and how to use myl, a small read-only IMAP CLI client, to check the inbox, search messages and download attachments from the terminal. It ships ready IMAP_PROVIDER shortcuts for Gmail, Yandex Mail including Yandex 360 for Business addresses, and Mail.ru with the mail.ru, bk.ru, inbox.ru and list.ru domains, with autodiscovery or manual server setup for other providers. Credentials come only from the environment or a file with 600 permissions, never asked for mid-conversation, and SKILL.md's own description explicitly excludes sending mail, SMTP or composing: read only.
Who it is for. For people who want to check and search Yandex, Mail.ru or Gmail email right from an agent chat, without opening a mail client.
Good fit when
- You want to check new mail or find a specific email by asking the agent
- You want to download an attachment from an email without opening a mail client
- You want support for several mail providers at once with ready settings
Not a fit when
- You need to send or reply to an email: the skill is deliberately read-only
- You need folder management, flags or other mailbox state changes

You need the myl CLI installed and an app-specific password from the mail provider; a regular account password does not work for most services. The skill itself refuses to read the credentials file if its permissions are not 600 or 400. It is read-only; sending mail and folder management are out of scope.
How to disable. Remove the imap-client folder from your skills directory, e.g. ~/.claude/skills/imap-client, and delete the IMAP_USER and IMAP_PASSWORD variables from your environment.

No, myl only reads mail; sending and SMTP are deliberately out of scope.
