Extended access
Why this level
- The install script from the internet clones the repository, creates a token in the home directory and changes the clients' MCP settings
- Requests and task context go to the hosted lazyweb.com server, and the installer may pass the goal and the discovery source
Install
- Works in
In your terminal, with SkillFoxx CLI
npx skillfoxx add skills/lazyweb-skillDetects the agents on your machine, shows the access level and pins the version.

What it does
Lazyweb gathers material for an interface before the agent builds or critiques it. The skill pack connects to the hosted MCP server `https://www.lazyweb.com/mcp`, which returns real product screens, complete user journeys (signup, checkout, paywall) and experiment results, including A/B tests. The installer puts the skills into the directories of the clients it finds: Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, OpenCode, Kiro, Factory Droid, Slate and Hermes. The visible commands are `/lazyweb` as the starting point, `/lazyweb-growth-score` and `/lazyweb-growth-report` for scoring and reporting on a site, `/lazyweb-growth-backlog` for a list of improvements, `/lazyweb-search-screens`, `/lazyweb-search-flows` and `/lazyweb-search-experiments` for search, `/lazyweb-apply-design-best-practices` and `/lazyweb-update`. Installation, updates and the token are free. The data returned and the limits depend on the account plan: the README warns separately that tool availability depends on the plan.
Who it is for. Designers and product founders who ask an agent to improve a screen or a funnel and want to rely on real examples.
Good fit when
- Before laying out a signup screen you want to see how other products solve it and show the examples to the agent
- A pricing page or a paywall should be checked against real experiments on price and trials
- A site needs a growth-readiness score and a list of improvements that can be split into tasks
- The examples found must be collected in a private research page with a stable link
Not a fit when
- Work happens offline: the data comes from the lazyweb.com server and there is no local database
- The task has nothing to do with an interface: the skills target screens, flows and conversion
- Payment, account data changes or team invitations are needed: the server leaves such actions to a human
Example request
Use /lazyweb-search-flows to find how three well-known services design signup and propose a screen based on those examplesLimitations
Data flows through a hosted server: its availability, the account plan and quotas decide which tools return results. When requests are excessive the server answers `429 mcp_rate_limited`.
Installation uses a script from the internet that clones the repository into `~/.lazyweb/repos/lazyweb-skill` and creates a token in `~/.lazyweb/lazyweb_mcp_token`. The token is stored as a plain file, keep it out of public git.
Auto-update stays off until you create `~/.lazyweb/auto_update` yourself. The script cannot set up a connection for the cloud Claude and ChatGPT: separate instructions at the `claude.md` and `chatgpt.md` links on lazyweb.com are needed.
How to disable. Delete the `lazyweb` and `lazyweb-*` directories from the clients' skills directories, remove the `lazyweb` entry from the MCP settings and the `~/.lazyweb/` directory with the token.
FAQ
How do I install Lazyweb in Claude Code?
Run `curl -fsSL https://www.lazyweb.com/install.sh | bash`. The script puts the skills into `~/.claude/skills` and configures the MCP at `https://www.lazyweb.com/mcp`. Restart the client and check that `lazyweb_get_workflows` is in the list.
Is Lazyweb paid?
Downloading, installing, updating and creating a token are free. Data availability and limits depend on the plan, and the README mentions a paid A/B test agent; the repository gives no prices.
How do I connect Lazyweb by hand?
Use the address `https://www.lazyweb.com/mcp`, the Streamable HTTP transport and an `Authorization: Bearer <token from ~/.lazyweb/lazyweb_mcp_token>` header. For one client run `~/.lazyweb/repos/lazyweb-skill/setup --host cursor`.
How do I update the skills?
With `~/.lazyweb/bin/lazyweb-update --host all` or through `/lazyweb-update` in the agent. Auto-update is enabled by the `~/.lazyweb/auto_update` file.
How do I sign in with OAuth in Codex?
Run `codex mcp add lazyweb --url https://www.lazyweb.com/mcp --oauth-client-registration dcr` and verify the account email. Later updates of the pack keep this connection.
