What it does
Micro-Drama-Skills takes a micro-drama, a short vertical series, from idea to a queue of video jobs. One work consists of 25 episodes of 30 seconds, and each episode splits into two parts of 15 seconds. The produce-anime skill writes the full script and dialogues, a character bible, a storyboard with a frame grid and a config for every episode. The generate-media skill calls the Gemini API and makes character images and storyboards, and the project description also mentions video on Veo 2. The submit-anime-project skill assembles the jobs and sends them in a batch to a local Seedance service at localhost:3456. Submission can run in simulation mode first. The skill appends the description of the chosen visual style to all generation prompts.
Who it is for. For authors of short vertical series who read Chinese and want to run production through Claude Code, from script to a queue of video jobs.
Good fit when
- You need a complete 25-episode micro-drama draft: script, dialogues, character bible and storyboards from a request such as "make a sci-fi short drama"
- You want to pick a visual style from ten ready ones and append it to generation prompts automatically
- You need to generate character references and storyboard frames for an episode with a command like "generate images for DM-002"
- Ready jobs must be sent to Seedance in simulation mode to check the structure before a real submission
- You look for a sample project structure: the characters and episodes folders and a task list for the whole work
Not a fit when
- You do not want Chinese text: scripts, prompts and instructions in the project are written in Chinese
- You have no Gemini API key and no local Seedance service
- You need a feature film or an episode longer than 30 seconds: the shape of the work is fixed
- You want a ready editor for assembly: the project creates scripts, frames and jobs, and assembling finished video is not part of it
Example request
Make a short drama in the Chinese ink painting style. Then generate storyboard images for the first five episodes.Limitations
- Needs Python 3.13 or newer and the google-genai, Pillow and requests packages. The Gemini key goes into .config/api_keys.json: create it from api_keys.sample.json and keep it out of git.
- The Gemini API is unavailable from Russia, and sending jobs requires a running local Seedance service on port 3456.
- The project's texts and prompts are in Chinese.
- The sample projects DM-001 and DM-002 show the working format, but storyboard images and character references are not in git.
- The last repository update is dated February 2026.
How to disable. Delete the .claude/skills folder from the project or the whole repository clone. The Gemini key is stored in .config/api_keys.json, so delete that file along with the project.

How do I install Micro-Drama-Skills in Claude Code?
Clone the repository and open it as a project: the skills sit in `.claude/skills` and are picked up automatically. Then copy `.config/api_keys.sample.json` to `.config/api_keys.json`, enter your Gemini key and install packages with `pip install google-genai Pillow requests` in a virtual environment.
How many episodes does one run create?
One produce-anime run makes one work of 25 episodes of 30 seconds. Each episode has two 15-second parts, so a whole work comes to 50 jobs for Seedance.
Which visual styles are available?
Ten: cinematic film, classic anime, cyberpunk, Chinese ink painting, Korean drama, dark thriller, vintage Hong Kong, wuxia epic, soft romance and documentary. Pick a style by name, number or Chinese name, and add your own in `.config/visual_styles.json`.
Can I test job submission first without spending resources?
Yes. The submit-anime-project skill supports a simulation mode: the submit request uses `realSubmit: false`, and a real submission is enabled with true.
Does the set work in agents other than Claude Code?
The project is built for Claude Code and OpenClaw: both open the folder with skills as a project and pick them up automatically.
