What it does

PPTAgent walks an agent through the full deck-building cycle: init with slide count, aspect ratio and language, authoring slides in HTML, rendering and recording a verdict per slide via record-slide-review, then building the deck and a final review of the whole thing with contact sheets. The skill itself does not write the slide text for the agent; it provides a CLI for rendering, converting to an editable PPTX, and verifying that the final file matches the approved sources. The final answer.pptx is only delivered once every check is marked complete, or explicitly as a draft with unresolved issues disclosed.

Who it is for. For anyone who needs more than a generated slide image, a genuinely editable PPTX with quality review of every slide.

Good fit when

  • You need a PPTX presentation you can later edit in PowerPoint
  • Every slide needs a visual check for clipped text, overlaps and broken images before delivery
  • You need a specific shape: a fixed slide count, aspect ratio, language

Not a fit when

  • A static image or PDF with no editing needed is enough
  • You need a presentation with advanced animation, not just static slides

Limitations

Needs a configured Python 3.11+ environment with the skill's dependencies, and the review_slides and review_deck MCP tools for the text-only mode without image viewing. The default multimodal mode relies on the host agent's built-in image viewer.

## Setup

Resolve `SKILL_ROOT` to this directory. Use its `.venv/bin/python` when present,
otherwise an activated Python 3.11+ environment with the dependencies installed.

FAQ

Can the final file be edited in PowerPoint?

Yes, the skill converts the built HTML slides into an editable PPTX rather than just exporting images.

What if some slides fail review?

The final file is only delivered when complete=true, or the user explicitly accepts a draft with disclosed open issues via delivery.mode: best-effort.
