Minimal access
Why this level
- Following the skill instructions, an agent retrieves reference material and prepares advice; the skill does not grant cluster access.
Install
- Works in
In your terminal, with SkillFoxx CLI
npx skillfoxx add skills/qdrant-skillsDetects the agents on your machine, shows the access level and pins the version.

How we reviewMinimal accessThe tool runs nothing and makes no network calls.

What it does
Qdrant Skills helps an agent choose relevant engineering guidance for Qdrant. The agent identifies symptoms, versions and recent changes, then reads the matching branch instead of loading all documentation. It supports investigations into slow search, memory pressure and embedding-model migration. With Qdrant Advisor, the agent loads current material from the skills site. A separate full bundle supports offline use and covers search quality, deployment sizing, tenant isolation, monitoring and upgrades.
Who it is for. Architects building Qdrant vector search who discuss performance, capacity and result quality with an agent.
Good fit when
- Search has slowed and the team wants diagnosis before adding nodes.
- A deployment needs memory, disk and node sizing for its workload.
- Multiple tenants need an appropriate data-isolation design.
- An embedding-model change needs a collection migration plan.
Not a fit when
- You need a ready connection for reading and writing collections.
- The task concerns another vector database rather than Qdrant.
- You expect live cluster measurements without supplying metrics.
Example request
Investigate rising Qdrant memory after an import: establish the version, load relevant guidance and order the metric checks.Limitations
An agent using Advisor retrieves guidance from `skills.qdrant.tech`, so it needs network access. The full local bundle is installed separately and does not include Advisor; its freshness depends on updating that local copy. In the Claude web app, add the site URL explicitly to the prompt so its content can be retrieved. Skills provide advice and references, while access to a live cluster and execution of changes require separate tools and permissions.
How to disable. Remove the installed Advisor or skill bundle from the agent client. This does not remove live Qdrant data or configuration.
FAQ
What does the recommended install provide?
Only Qdrant Advisor. Its instructions guide the agent to relevant material on the skills site.
Can I work offline?
Yes, with the separately installed full bundle. When using Advisor, the agent retrieves guidance online.
Will it create a cluster?
No. The skill guides decisions; infrastructure provisioning uses separate tools.
Where should the answer come from?
From the loaded skill branch and linked official documentation, with source URLs.
What should a bad-answer report include?
The skill name, your prompt, the returned answer and what you expected.
