Extended access

Why this level

  • The agent reads console output, network requests and storage of a running app, which can hold tokens and personal data.
  • Plugin tools can change app state, for example by writing values into storage.

In your terminal, with SkillFoxx CLI

npx skillfoxx add skills/rozenite

How we review

Extended accessThe tool runs code or makes network calls and only reads external data.

  • The agent reads console output, network requests and storage of a running app, which can hold tokens and personal data.
  • Plugin tools can change app state, for example by writing values into storage.

This is third-party code. Review the repository files before installing.

What it does

The `rozenite` skill teaches an agent to debug a running React Native app through Rozenite, a set of plugins for React Native DevTools. The agent works with the app in two ways: `rozenite agent` commands in the shell or code through the `@rozenite/agent-sdk` package. The skill itself is short and points to documentation bundled inside the CLI. `npx rozenite skills list` shows the available topics and `npx rozenite skills show core` opens the shared rules, so the instructions match the installed version. Commands run from the app root where Metro starts; in a monorepo that is the app package, not the repository root. The agent then lists domains with `rozenite agent domains`, looks at the tools of a domain and calls them: `rozenite agent console getMessages --levels error` returns error messages. Domains come from plugins for network, storage, performance, React Navigation and more.

Who it is for. Mobile developers on Expo and bare React Native who ask Claude Code or Codex to work out how a running app behaves.

Good fit when

  • The app crashes on a simulator and the agent reads the errors from the console.
  • A request reaches the server with wrong data and the agent inspects captured network calls.
  • A screen lags and the agent collects performance data through a plugin.
  • The team writes its own Rozenite plugin and wants the agent to see its tools.

Not a fit when

  • The app is built on neither React Native nor Lynx, so there is nothing to attach to.
  • You need to analyze a store crash report without a running build.
  • Metro is not running and the agent has no target to attach to.

Example request

Run `rozenite agent domains`, find the latest errors in the app console and show which network request preceded them.

Limitations

The skill works only with a live target: the app runs on a device or simulator and is connected to Metro. Rozenite supports Expo SDK 52 and newer, React Native 0.76 and newer, and Re.Pack 5.2 and newer. Lynx and React Native Web support is experimental. Plugins are disabled automatically in production builds, so a release build cannot be debugged this way. The `rozenite open` command is interactive, asks you to pick a device and will not run in CI. The main instructions live in the CLI documentation, so completeness depends on the installed `rozenite` package version.

How to disable. Delete the `rozenite` skill folder from the agent skills directory and remove the package with `npm uninstall rozenite`. Plugins do not reach production builds, so the release needs no cleanup.

FAQ

Where is the Rozenite skill for Claude Code?

The skill file is in the repository at `packages/cli/skills/rozenite/SKILL.md`. Copy the `rozenite` folder into the agent skills directory and restart the agent, then run `rozenite` commands from the app root.

How do I find out which tools the agent can use?

Run `rozenite agent domains`, then `rozenite agent <domain>` for the tools of that domain. The `--help` flag shows the arguments of a specific tool.

What if several devices are connected?

Pick the target with the `--device <id>` flag or the `ROZENITE_DEVICE` variable. `rozenite agent targets` lists the targets.

How does `rozenite agent tap` differ from regular commands?

`tap` streams plugin messages in both directions and, with `--send` and `--payload`, sends a message to a plugin. Other commands call a tool once and return the result.

Can a session be driven from code?

Yes, the `@rozenite/agent-sdk` package offers the same capabilities. `createAgentClient().withSession(...)` opens a session, lists domains and calls tools.

README in short

Rozenite adds panels to React Native DevTools: plugins install as packages and appear in the debugger without extra windows or servers. The same panels and CLI work with Lynx through rspeedy and with React Native Web through a browser extension.

## Rozenite

Rozenite for Agents ships its real content as CLI-bundled docs instead of
inside this skill, so it can never go stale here.

- Run `npx rozenite skills list` to discover the available docs (id and
  one-line description for each).
- Run `npx rozenite skills show <id>` to read one.
- Start with `npx rozenite skills show core` — it has the ground truths every
  workflow shares.
- Run these commands, and any other `npx rozenite` command, from the app
root where Metro is started for the target app. In a monorepo, that is the
app package root, not the repository root.
