What it does

The skill gives the agent a supply-chain bottleneck method for reading an investment theme. It breaks the trend into supply-chain layers, looks for the tightest and hardest-to-replace link, then tests which companies actually sit at that bottleneck and how it shows up in revenue and margin. For conclusions the agent uses the host's search and browser tools and is required to read primary sources such as company disclosures, filings and exchange Q&A, not snippets. By default it covers A-share technology and advanced manufacturing unless another market is requested. It returns a research priority, dated evidence, a counterargument and the next check to run, and it deliberately avoids trade signals and position sizing.

Who it is for. For retail investors and analysts who want a systematic first pass on a theme before making decisions.

Limitations

The skill provides only a research method, with no market-data feed and no access to paid terminals. Live company checks depend on the host having search, a browser or a filings source. The material targets the A-share market, so for other markets some sources must be swapped. It is an independent interpretation of a public method, not an official Serenity product, and buy or sell decisions stay with the user.

How to disable. Remove the serenity-skill folder from the agent's skills directory, for example ~/.claude/skills/serenity-skill or ~/.agents/skills/serenity-skill.

The README describes four modes: theme scan, company challenge, candidate comparison and a learning dialogue. The method moves from a technical shift to a supply-chain bottleneck and then to the economics of specific companies, with every strong conclusion tied to primary sources. The skill installs by copying into the Claude Code or Codex skills directory, and its references and examples live in references, assets and examples. It also ships a validate_skill.py structure check and dated worked examples. MIT licensed.

Use the Serenity-inspired research path: start from a technology buildout, trace the system and its hard-to-expand inputs, then investigate which companies can turn that constraint into earnings. Explain the result like a direct research partner.

## Choose the research task

- Theme scan: compare supply-chain layers, investigate companies across the plausible layers, and rank what deserves further research.
- Company challenge: translate a label such as a CPO core supplier into specific claims and test them against current disclosures.
- Candidate comparison: compare the supplied companies on business position, earnings exposure, evidence, valuation pressure, and failure conditions.
- Conversation or learning: respond to the current question at the requested depth, asking one focused question at a time.
