What it does
Tushare Skill is the official kit from the Tushare Pro service for retrieving financial data of the Chinese market. The agent turns a natural-language request into a Tushare interface call: stock quotes, financial statements, funds, indices and macroeconomic indicators. The README claims more than 220 interfaces, and the reference in `references/` documents over 235. Examples from the README include Ping An Bank prices for 30 days, China Merchants Bank financial reports with revenue and profit analysis, finding all bank stocks with an analysis of recent performance, Shanghai Composite index data and a year of GDP and CPI series. The skill runs Python code through the `tushare` package, and the `scripts/` folder holds demo scripts for stocks and funds. Access needs a Tushare Pro token: you get it after registering on tushare.pro and pass it through the `TUSHARE_TOKEN` variable. The skill's permissions are limited to two: running Python (`Bash(python:*)`) and reading the interface reference. It works in Claude Code, OpenClaw, Trae and other agents that support skills.

The README is in Chinese, as are the sample requests. You need Python 3.7 or newer, the `tushare` package and a Tushare Pro token; call limits depend on the account and are described in the official documentation. The author warns that the project is meant for study and research and that commercial use is barred by the Tushare terms. The repository holds two matching skill folders, `tushare` and `tushare-data`, and the install takes the second.
How to disable. Delete the `tushare-data` folder from the agent's skills directory and remove the `TUSHARE_TOKEN` variable from the environment. Reissue the token in your Tushare Pro account if needed.
FAQ
How do I get a token for Tushare Skill?
Register at tushare.pro and copy the token from your account. Then set it with `export TUSHARE_TOKEN="your_token"` before starting the agent. Better not to keep the token in request text.
Can I install the skill from Gitee?
Yes. Besides GitHub the author provides a mirror: `npx skills add https://gitee.com/lwdt/skills.git --skill tushare-data`. You can also just copy the `tushare` directory into the skills folder.
Which language should requests be in?
The README and examples are in Chinese and the skill is built for Chinese requests. Give company names and tickers as they are written on Chinese exchanges.
What is in the scripts folder?
Two Python demo scripts: `stock_data_demo.py` for stocks and `fund_data_demo.py` for funds. They show interface calls and work as a sample.
What permissions does the skill get?
Only running Python through `Bash(python:*)` and reading the interface reference. It touches no other agent tools.
