How we review

Extended accessThe tool runs code or makes network calls and only reads external data.

What it does

WuMing Skills is a repository from a Chinese developer with practical skills grouped by task. Each skill is packaged as a plugin with its own SKILL.md, the registry lives in config/skills.json, and you can install the ones you need one at a time through the Claude Code plugin marketplace. The skills fall into several groups. Reference «wiki» skills answer from product documentation: LlamaIndex, Qoder, QwenWork, DeepSeek Harness and others. Reviewer skills check prompts, AGENTS.md and CLAUDE.md, `.claude` configuration and other skills. The mermaid skill picks a diagram type and outputs renderable code, and the interpreter skills turn an article, a PDF, an arXiv paper or a GitHub repository into a structured report. A few skills cover narrow jobs: local transcription of recordings to Markdown and SRT, watermarks for photos and documents, bulk album downloads from alltuu.com and photoplus.cn, and a QR code for a WeChat official account. An operations group checks status and reads logs for OpenClaw, Hermes Agent and CoPaw, and cleans bloated OpenClaw session files.

Who it is for. For developers and content authors who use Claude Code, read Chinese and run OpenClaw or Hermes Agent.

Good fit when

  • You need a Mermaid diagram: flow, sequence, state, ER or Gantt from a description
  • You want to digest an article by link, a PDF or an arXiv paper into a report with takeaways and critique
  • You want CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md or the `.claude` folder reviewed with a findings list before edits
  • You need a local audio recording transcribed to Markdown and SRT subtitles without a cloud
  • OpenClaw or Hermes Agent misbehaves: you want status and log diagnosis first, then repair

Not a fit when

  • You need commercial use: the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 licence forbids it without the author's permission
  • You do not read Chinese: the README and skill descriptions are in Chinese
  • You need a high-fidelity design mockup: the mermaid skill is not meant for that
  • You need a single program with one interface: the repository is made of independent skills

Example request

Draw a sequence diagram of the OAuth login flow as Mermaid code

Limitations

All content is in Chinese. The CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 licence does not allow commercial use: you have to ask the author. Claude Code installs plugins one by one, not from a phrase like «install this skill».

The interpreter skills deliver a first draft to a local file by default and do not re-check it without your agreement. The operations skills check status first and explain what they are about to do before a restart, repair, update or configuration change.

How to disable. Remove the plugin with `/plugin` in Claude Code or delete the skill's folder from your skills directory.

FAQ

How do I install WuMing skills in Claude Code?

Run `/plugin marketplace add chujianyun/skills`, then `/plugin install mermaid@wuming-skills` or any other plugin from the collection. Each plugin carries its skill, and Claude Code installs them one at a time. For other agents there is the `openskills install chujianyun/skills --global` installer.

Which skills in the collection are worth trying first?

For general tasks, try mermaid for diagrams, prompt-optimizer with 57 prompt frameworks, agent-md-advisor for AGENTS.md and CLAUDE.md, and local-audio-transcriber, which turns recordings into Markdown and SRT. The rest are narrow: product wikis and OpenClaw or Hermes operations.

Can I use WuMing skills in a commercial project?

Not without the author's permission. The skill files are licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0: attribution is required, commercial use is not allowed and the same licence must be kept. For commercial use the author asks you to get in touch.

What do the OpenClaw and Hermes skills do?

openclaw-ops and hermes-ops check status and logs first, and explain restarts, repairs and config edits before running them. openclaw-session-cleaner trims bloated session files, deletes old cron sessions and rebuilds references in sessions.json, and hermes-qq adds QQ support.

How are new skills added and checked in the repository?

A skill is created in `skills/<name>/` and registered in `config/skills.json`, the README and the marketplace. The skill-optimizer skill and `python3 scripts/validate_skill.py <name>` then check it until validation passes. The same layout shows how each skill is built: a SKILL.md with a description plus references, scripts and assets folders.

README in short

The Chinese README is laid out as a capability map: twelve skill groups with «skill, mode, scenario» tables and a hint on which group fits which task. The repository's principles: a SKILL.md description works as a trigger rule for the model, detail moves into references and scripts, a draft comes first, and high-impact actions are described before they run. New skills pass the validate_skill.py script and are registered in config/skills.json. Three install routes are described: the plugin marketplace, a phrase to an installer agent and openskills.
