Version 1.2.0 from 05.09.2026, MIT license.

Who it is for. For people who take notes from videos and keep them in Obsidian and want transcripts in tidy Markdown.

Good fit when

  • You need a video transcript in Markdown for Obsidian
  • You need chapters and video metadata in one file
  • You need a tool with no API keys

Not a fit when

  • The service terms forbid such export
  • You need other people's videos for publication: copyright

Example request

Save this video transcript in Markdown with chapters and metadata into my Obsidian vault

Limitations

YouTube terms and copyright on videos and transcripts stay with the user: use the export for personal notes and do not publish other people's texts. Access is minimal: downloading subtitles and writing a file.

How to disable. Remove the skill from the agent's folder or the plugin through the plugin manager.
