What it does
Aura is an agent platform for SRE from Mezmo, an observability vendor. It orchestrates several agents, connects MCP tools, writes OpenTelemetry traces and reads logs, metrics and deploy history. The README has a Production Safety section. Written in Rust, version 0.2.18 from 05.10.2026, Apache-2.0 license. The vendor itself calls the platform production-tested, but version 0.2 points to an early stage.
Who it is for. For SRE and on-call engineers who want an agent to go through signals, logs and deploy history during an incident.
Good fit when
- You need an agent for incident analysis from logs and metrics
- You need multi-agent orchestration for on-call
- You need OpenTelemetry tracing for an agent
Not a fit when
- You need a mature platform: version 0.2
- You cannot let an agent read logs and deploy history
Example request
Go through yesterday's spike of 5xx errors by logs and metrics and show which deploys came before itLimitations
The platform reads logs, traces, metrics and deploy history, so access is wide: sensitive data often sits there. Start with a test environment and read-only access. We have not confirmed the vendor's production-tested claim and the version is 0.2.
How to disable. Remove the platform deployment and revoke the access to logs and metrics given to it.
