clasp supports local Google Apps Script development with source control. Users retrieve project files, edit them locally and push changes back, then manage versions and deployments. It can run functions and read logs after the required APIs are configured. Gemini CLI and Claude Code MCP integrations are documented. Select the account and exact project before cloud operations.

Enable the Apps Script API and authorize the intended account after installation. Logs and advanced commands require additional APIs and a cloud project ID. Version 3 no longer transpiles TypeScript; use a separate build step before uploading. Although hosted under Google, the project explicitly lacks officially supported Google-product status, which matters when selecting long-term operational support.
How to disable. Run `clasp logout`, remove any MCP connection and uninstall the package. Deployed Google scripts remain and must be disabled separately.

Can I use multiple accounts?
Yes. Select the intended profile with the global `--user` option.
How do I inspect files before upload?
Run `clasp show-file-status` and review the list before push.
Is TypeScript transpiled automatically?
Not in clasp 3.x. Build JavaScript separately before uploading.
