What it does
Meegle CLI is a command-line program for Meegle, a project management system called Lark Project in the Lark family and Feishu Project in China. The meegle command creates and updates work items, moves workflow nodes and states, manages subtasks, comments and work hours, and lists this week's personal to-dos. The README claims 16 domains and more than 50 commands. Work items are searched with queries in the MQL language. The setup wizard npx @lark-project/meegle@latest install installs the CLI globally, adds the skills/meegle skill for Trae, Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Gemini CLI and other agents, sets the server host and starts the login. The skill bundles a command reference, MQL syntax, field value formats and step-by-step playbooks for creating an item and moving a node. It does not run business commands until meegle auth status confirms a login. Output comes as json, table, ndjson or raw, and the --select flag picks the fields. The --dry-run flag shows the request that would go to the server and runs nothing.
Who it is for. Project managers and teams who track work in Meegle or Lark Project and want Claude Code or Cursor to find, create and move work items without a browser.
Good fit when
- You need this week's personal to-dos and overdue items first thing in the morning: meegle mywork todo returns them
- A selection such as P0 stories in the PROJ space is easier to express as an MQL query than as filters in the interface
- A work item must move to another node or state, and the agent first checks the available transitions and required fields
- A server or CI has no browser but needs a login: the --device-code flow prints an authorisation link
Not a fit when
- You need Lark messages, documents, calendar or mail: Meegle CLI covers only the project side, and the general Lark CLI handles the rest
- Your tasks live in Jira or Linear: the CLI connects only to Meegle and Lark Project
- The agent client cannot run shell commands: without terminal access the CLI is useless
Example request
Show my Meegle tasks for this week and the overdue ones separately, with deadlines in a tableLimitations
- Node.js 16 or newer and a Meegle or Lark Project account are required; login goes through browser OAuth or a device code.
- The agent acts under your account within the granted scope and can change fields and statuses and create items. The developer advises running such commands with --dry-run first and giving the agent a separate profile.
- Failure diagnostics are on by default: command and option names without values, error codes and the client version are sent, and the server ties them to the account. meegle telemetry disable turns them off.
- The skill description is written in Chinese, and the reply language defaults to Chinese when the request does not say otherwise.
How to disable. meegle auth logout drops the login, and meegle config profile delete with a profile name removes the profile. npm uninstall -g @lark-project/meegle removes the global package. Delete the meegle folder in your agent's skills directory to remove the skill.
FAQ
How do I install Meegle CLI in Claude Code without a browser?
Run npx -y @lark-project/meegle@latest install --host meegle.com --device-code --lang en, putting your own host in place of meegle.com. The wizard prints an authorisation link: open it on any device and let the command keep running until you confirm. Then check the login with meegle auth status.
How is Meegle different from Lark Project?
It is one system under different names. You pick the server host at install time: meegle.com, project.feishu.cn or your tenant's own domain.
How can I see what the agent is about to change?
Add --dry-run to the command: the CLI shows the request that would go to the server and executes nothing. Create a separate profile for agent sessions with meegle config profile create so their access can be revoked independently of yours.
How do I work in CI where browser login is impossible?
Pass a token in the MEEGLE_USER_ACCESS_TOKEN variable. With it the CLI bypasses the OS keychain and does not refresh the token after a 401, so the caller rotates it.
What output formats does the CLI offer?
json, table, ndjson and raw, chosen with the --format flag. The --select flag with a dot path keeps only the fields you need, which helps when piping output to other programs.

README in short
The README starts with benefits and a feature table, then describes the wizard install and two quick starts, one for humans and one for agents. Most of the page is a command reference by domain, query examples and ways to pass parameters. It ends with login, profile configuration, extensions for enterprise builds and a danger notice.
