Access and checks
How we reviewExtended accessThe tool runs code or makes network calls and only reads external data.

This is third-party code. Review the repository files before installing.
What it does
Spool publishes coding-agent sessions as pages with a summary, conversation, tool activity and file changes. The author chooses a session, reviews the upload and confirms sharing; records stay local before that step. Claude Code and Codex CLI readers can continue the work in a new native session. Spool preserves its relationship to the source without editing that source. Git remains responsible for project code and version history.
Who it is for. Teammates handing off unfinished agent work with its decisions and action history.
Good fit when
- A reviewer needs to understand the actions behind a patch.
- You are handing off work for a teammate to continue in Claude Code or Codex CLI.
- During discussion, you want to link to a particular session record.
- Your team needs records of shared work that only members can open.
Not a fit when
- Session history must not reach an external Hub.
- You expect a default Claude Code share to be private.
- Native Resume is needed for a Gemini or OpenCode session.
Example request
Prepare this Codex session for a teammate, showing contents, sensitive-data findings and visibility before Share.Limitations
After Share confirmation, selected records go to the Hub; inspect conversation, files and tool output first. Claude Code and Codex CLI shares are public by default and can appear in search, so check visibility on the confirmation screen. Native continuation currently supports only Claude Code and Codex CLI. Automated sensitive-value detection can miss a secret; review flagged passages and the rest of the history before uploading.
How to disable. Stop using Share and withdraw unwanted hosted copies. Uninstalling the CLI does not remove uploaded material; check visibility and ownership in the Hub.
FAQ
How do I choose a specific session?
Use `spool share <session-uuid>`. Bare `spool` selects the latest session in the current project.
Does a reader need Spool installed?
No. The shared page opens in a browser.
How do I continue shared work?
For a supported session, run `spool resume <session-url>` to create a new session.
What happens when sharing into a Team?
Control of the hosted copy transfers to the Team, whose owners and admins manage disclosure.
What happens after Withdraw?
The page stops displaying the session and returns `410 Gone`. If the copy belonged to a Team, withdrawal by its owner or admin cannot be undone.
