What it does
Agent Standup reads local session files from Claude Code, Codex, Mistral Vibe and Cowork and draws them as a team call: the lead hands out tasks, subagents join, work at their desks and report back. Per-agent token counts, badges for stuck or repeating agents, a subagent tree and replay of past sessions are included. Claude Code gets a plugin: the `/agent-standup:open` skill starts the app and opens the call in the browser, and `/agent-standup:status` reports in one line who is working and who waits. A separate `agent-standup-band` plugin shows above the prompt which session waits for an answer.
Who it is for. People who run several agent sessions in parallel and lose track of which one awaits approval and which one burns tokens.
Good fit when
- Three Claude Code sessions are running and you need to see which one waits for an answer.
- A subagent works suspiciously long and you want to see its repeated calls.
- You need a token counter per subagent in a session.
- A past session is replayed and a short clip is cut from it.
Not a fit when
- You need to analyse prompt content, as the app shows progress rather than analysis.
- The environment has no Node.js 18 and no browser.
- A screen video is published unchecked; agent lines in the clip are not masked.
Example request
Open the call for my sessions and say in one line which session is waiting for my answer.Limitations
Node.js 18 or newer is required. Voices and subtitles come from the local Kokoro model, installed separately (about 750 MB), with babble used by default until then. Translation into French, Spanish and Portuguese and jokes call Claude through your login and send session lines to Anthropic. Optional usage counters and version notices are off by default. An unofficial community project, not affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI or Mistral AI.
How to disable. Close the app or the tab. Remove the plugin with `/plugin uninstall` and the VS Code extension from the extensions list.
FAQ
How do I open the call without the plugin?
Run `npx @double_geste/agent-standup@latest --open` from any terminal. With no sessions yet, switch the source to Demo in settings.
Does the app send anything over the network?
Not by default. The network is used for translation and jokes, FIP radio, voice install and the optional counter, each enabled separately.
What does the status skill do?
It runs `npx -y @double_geste/agent-standup@1.43.1 status` and reports how many sessions work and how many wait for you. `--json --titles` prints the list with states.
Is it free?
Yes, MIT. The Halloween character pack is paid and optional and does not affect features.
Which agents are shown?
Claude Code, Codex, Mistral Vibe and Cowork. It runs in VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf, any terminal and as a macOS app.

README in short
Four ways in: the VS Code and Open VSX extension, the `agent-standup` command, a macOS app and the Claude Code plugin. There are no runtime dependencies; the code is Node.js and one HTML file.
