What it does
Aident hosts the server at https://loadout.aident.ai/mcp over Streamable HTTP. Without sign-in it answers 401; the client registers itself with the server and runs an OAuth sign-in, so there is no key to paste. After sign-in the agent works with a small set of tools. The capabilities_search tool finds an action from a description of the task, capabilities_get shows its current input schema and side effects, capabilities_preflight validates the input and quotes the cost without running it, and capabilities_execute runs it. The vault tool reports whether the required account is connected and returns a link to connect it. The skills_search and skills_read tools open ready-made guidance for multi-step jobs and never run anything themselves. Accounts are connected once on the Aident site. Credentials stay in Aident Vault; the agent only receives the connection status and the action result. Every call lands in the Audit log: what ran, through which app, how it ended and what it cost.
Who it is for. For developers, sales and marketing teams who hand an agent in Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or ChatGPT work in email, chat, spreadsheets, CRMs and issue trackers and do not want a separate MCP server for each app.
Good fit when
- In one task the agent has to collect Gmail messages, put them into a Google Sheets table and post a summary to Slack
- You want the same connected accounts in several agents, such as Claude Code and ChatGPT
- You need web search, page crawling or image generation without your own Exa, Firecrawl and Fal keys: Aident provides these services itself and charges them to your balance
- You want to see the price before every paid action and check the log afterwards to see what the agent did
Not a fit when
- Company rules forbid keeping access to corporate email and CRM with a third-party intermediary: tokens sit in Aident's vault and task text passes through its servers
- You need a single service that has its own official MCP server: a direct connection needs no intermediary between the agent and the account
- You need open code or a local install: the server is closed, and the aident-skill repository holds only guidance and config files

Limitations
According to the developer, the catalog has 1,000+ apps, 27,000 actions and 400 skills. Aident's sitemap listed 684 app pages on October 15, 2026.
Paid actions deduct credits from a USD balance. There is pay-as-you-go, Pro and Team plans, and one-time credit boosts. Check current prices at https://aident.ai/pricing before paying.
For actions that accept your own provider key in Vault, Aident may charge no credits, but the provider bills you directly. Pay-as-you-go allows one account per app; several accounts per app need Pro.
Aident AI, LLC is registered in Delaware and the server runs on Vercel. The company's terms say features and providers vary by location. The developer says nothing about Russia, so access without a VPN is unknown.
How to disable. In Claude Code remove the server with claude mcp remove aident; in Cursor and VS Code delete the aident entry from .cursor/mcp.json or .vscode/mcp.json. To sign out, call the auth tool with the logout action. Disconnect apps at https://loadout.aident.ai/dashboard/apps, and Aident revokes their access. If you installed through SETUP.md, also delete ~/.aident/credentials.json and the Aident block in the agent's user-level instruction file.

What is Aident Loadout?
A service from Aident AI that gives an agent access to connected apps, built-in paid services and ready-made guidance through one MCP server. Besides MCP it offers the aident CLI with the same functions.
How do I connect a remote MCP server over OAuth?
Add https://loadout.aident.ai/mcp to your MCP client settings. On first use the client opens the Aident sign-in window, where you click Approve. In Claude.ai and Claude Desktop add it as a custom connector under Connectors, in ChatGPT as a custom MCP server through Customize.
What data does the server receive?
According to its privacy notice, Aident processes your account email and plan, the list of connections and granted permissions, encrypted tokens, task text, action inputs, files you provide and responses from connected services. The company says it does not sell this data or use it for advertising.
How is Loadout different from a regular MCP server?
A regular server gives the agent the tools of one service. In Loadout the agent first searches for an action across all apps, reads its schema and checks the account connection, then runs it in a separate call.
How long is the action log kept?
30 days on pay-as-you-go, 180 days on Pro and 365 on Team. If the agent lost a response, check the log and the app itself before retrying: the email may already be sent.
What does Follow https://aident.ai/SETUP.md do?
The agent installs the @aident-ai/cli CLI and the aident-skill skill and walks you through sign-in. The installer then adds a block to the agent's user-level instruction file telling it to use Aident first, before web search and local connectors. This path does not set up the MCP server.
Does Loadout include Russian services?
Yandex Tools has 21 actions: reverse geocoding, routes, Metrica goals and filters, public Disk files and organization search. Telegram Tools has 18 bot actions. Both need your own account and use no Aident credits.
