What it does
The server links an agent to desktop CAD through the Windows COM interface. The agent draws lines, circles, arcs, ellipses, rectangles, polylines, text, hatches and dimensions, edits objects (move, rotate, scale, copy, mirror, offset, arrays), manages layers and DWG or DXF drawings, and works with blocks. Query tools return layers and entities with their properties and capture a screenshot of the window so the agent can see the result. It also passes through arbitrary CAD commands and supports stdio and streamable-http transports.
Who it is for. For engineers and drafters who work in AutoCAD, GstarCAD or ZWCAD and want to offload part of the work to an agent.

Runs only on Windows with AutoCAD, GstarCAD or ZWCAD installed and Python 3.10 or newer. CAD type, transport and output folder are set in src/config.json. The send_command tool runs any CAD command, so check what you launch. Install is from source: python src/server.py or pip install -e . and run cad-mcp.
How to disable. Remove the server entry from your MCP client config. If installed via pip, uninstall the cad-mcp package with your package manager.
