Chestny Znak MCP server
chestnyznak-mcp
An MCP server for Chestny Znak product marking: public code checks with no token and True API data with one
Low risk
We rate an entry low when it mostly gives the agent instructions and reference material.
Why this level
- The public tools only read marking status; they change nothing in the Chestny Znak system
- The authorized tools send a True API token, so keep it in environment variables only
Install
In your terminal, with SkillFoxx CLI
npx skillfoxx add mcp/chestnyznak-mcpDetects the agents on your machine, checks the risk and pins the version.
Other ways to install
Run in a terminal
claude mcp add --transport stdio chestnyznak -- npx -y @theyahia/chestnyznak-mcpOr add to the file .mcp.json, in the project

}
}If the file already exists, add the server inside the mcpServers key.
The button opens the agent and offers to add the server. If nothing happens, copy the config below.

Other ways from the author
{
"mcpServers": {
"chestnyznak": {
"command": "npx",
"args": ["-y", "@theyahia/chestnyznak-mcp"]
}
}
}Works immediately with no token for the three public tools.
This is third-party code. Review the repository files before installing.
What it does
The server lets an agent check a Chestny Znak marking code (DataMatrix, QR or EAN13) and get its authenticity status, product name, category, manufacturer and owner instead of a manual trip to the personal account. Three public tools work with no registration: a single code check, a detailed product card, and a batch check of up to 50 codes at once. Two token-authorized tools search a product by GTIN and fetch CIS (identification code) information from the True API. The server belongs to the same author's WWmcp series: a shared core provides request retries and two transports, stdio and Streamable HTTP, with HTTP listening on localhost only by default and no authentication on /mcp.
Who it is for. For merchandisers, procurement staff and quality control teams who need to quickly check product marking without logging into the Chestny Znak personal account.
Good fit when
- You need to quickly check a DataMatrix code's authenticity right in a chat with an agent
- You need a batch check of up to 50 marking codes at once
- You have a True API token and need to search a product by GTIN or get CIS info
Not a fit when
- You need to search a product by name or brand: that is a separate National Catalog API, not supported here
- You need to submit or change data in the marking system, not just check it
- You need access from outside localhost without setting up your own authentication on the HTTP endpoint
Example request
Check marking code 0104600702028445 and tell me the product's owner and manufacturerLimitations
GTIN search and CIS data need a True API token from CRPT. Searching a product by name or brand is not supported; that needs a separate National Catalog API. HTTP mode listens on localhost only by default and has no authentication of its own; opening it externally with --host=0.0.0.0 is explicitly at your own risk.
How to disable. Run claude mcp remove chestnyznak or remove the chestnyznak block from your MCP client config.
MCP
- Transport
- stdio, http
- Authentication
- API key
| Environment variables | |
|---|---|
| CHESTNYZNAK_TOKEN secret | True API token for the search_products and get_cis_info tools |
| CHESTNYZNAK_BASE_URL | Authorized API origin, https hosts on crpt.ru or crptech.ru only |
Security check
- The public tools only read marking status; they change nothing in the Chestny Znak system
- The authorized tools send a True API token, so keep it in environment variables only
README in short
The Russian README states the server's purpose plainly: check a marking code without the personal account. It shows Claude Desktop configs with and without a token, a Claude Code command, and running in Streamable HTTP mode with DNS-rebinding protection. Tables cover the three environment variables and all five tools with their arguments, and it details the check_marking_code and get_product_info JSON response format with example status and owner fields.
FAQ
Do I need a token to check a code?
No, the three public tools check_marking_code, get_product_info and check_batch work with no registration or token.
Can I search a product by name?
No, that needs the separate nk.crpt.ru National Catalog API, which this server does not cover.
