What it does
The server wraps the official Garant-Connect API in 14 tools for Claude: full-text search across statutes and arbitration practice, relevant snippets within a document, the full text of a document or a specific paragraph with context, document metadata (type, status, date, issuing body), a list of all editions, checking document changes over a period, monitoring changes to specific paragraphs, auto-linking norms within text, a news category tree and feed, court-practice search via the Sutyazhnik module, current API limits, and a download link for a document in PDF, RTF or ODT. It requires your own Garant-Connect token, issued by a Garant account manager or through the garant.ru personal account.
Who it is for. For lawyers and companies with corporate Garant-Connect access who want an official API instead of scraping the site.
Good fit when
- You have a corporate Garant-Connect token and want official access
- You need to track changes in specific documents or paragraphs over a period
- You need norm references auto-linked inside a finished text
Not a fit when
- You have no Garant-Connect token and no way to get one: it is a separate paid access, not the same as a regular Garant subscription
- You want a ready hosted server with no deployment: here you deploy it yourself, e.g. on Railway

A separate Garant-Connect token is required, issued on request to a Garant account manager or via the personal account; a regular Garant site subscription does not qualify. The README does not describe limits or the cost of access. There is no ready hosted server, you deploy it yourself, e.g. on Railway or locally.
How to disable. Remove the garant server from claude_desktop_config.json or the Garant integration in Claude Web settings, and stop the Railway deployment.
