What it does

Itsyconnect replaces the App Store Connect web interface with a macOS desktop app and a web dashboard you host yourself. The app has an optional MCP server, and through it Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or OpenCode work with the listings of your apps. There are four tools. `get_app` reads versions, locales and field values, `update_app` writes a field for a chosen locale, `translate` translates fields from a source locale into target locales, and `manage_locales` adds or removes locales. Apps are addressed by name, and the server resolves numeric identifiers itself. You enable the server in the app settings. It answers over Streamable HTTP on port 3100 and respects diff mode: while the mode is on, edits accumulate locally and reach App Store Connect as one batch after review.

Who it is for. iOS and macOS developers who manage releases and localisations in App Store Connect and want an agent to take the routine.

Good fit when

  • Before a release you need to update what's new and translate it into every store locale.
  • An app enters new markets and gets new locales with translated descriptions and keywords.
  • An agent drafts promotional text from the version changelog.
  • Listing edits are first accumulated in diff mode, reviewed and only then pushed.

Not a fit when

  • Builds must be uploaded to TestFlight from CI: the four server tools only handle listing text and locales.
  • The app and the agent run on different machines with no network access to port 3100.
  • The App Store Connect key cannot be entrusted to a local app from a third-party author.

Limitations

The MCP server is off by default and answers only while the app or container is running. App Store Connect credentials are required and are entered in the first-launch wizard. The app needs macOS 11 or newer. Translation needs your own API key from one of the AI providers: Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI, Mistral or DeepSeek. The server removes a locale only on explicit confirmation. Changes take effect in App Store Connect, so check translations before sending.

How to disable. Turn the MCP server off in the General section of Settings and remove the itsyconnect entry from the client configuration. The app itself uninstalls like any macOS program.

FAQ

How do I connect Itsyconnect to Claude Code?

Enable the MCP server in the General section of Settings (port 3100 by default) and run `claude mcp add --transport http itsyconnect http://127.0.0.1:3100/mcp`. The documentation holds ready configuration snippets for Codex, Cursor and OpenCode.

Which tools does the server have?

Four: `get_app` reads data, `update_app` writes a field, `translate` translates fields, and `manage_locales` adds or removes locales. Apps are addressed by name, and the version can be omitted.

What happens to edits when diff mode is on?

They accumulate locally, and you review the full difference across all sections and locales before anything goes to App Store Connect. Individual fields can be discarded before the push.

How do I expose the server from Docker?

Publish the port with `-p 3100:3100` and enable the server in the app settings.

Is an AI key needed for the translate tool?

Yes. Translation runs on your own API key: the app supports Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI, Mistral and DeepSeek.
