What it does
The server gives an agent access to App Store Connect through an Apple API key. More than twenty groups of asc_* tools cover subscriptions (groups, products, localizations, prices), in-app purchases, introductory offers, promo and win-back offers, review submission and release, Xcode Cloud, certificates and profiles, sandbox testers, age rating, and sales and finance reports. It can also set prices per territory on a schedule and rebalance them by purchasing power parity (PPP) for about 175 territories. A sample skill for that rebalance sits in the repository: examples/ppp-rebalance/SKILL.md.
Who it is for. For developers and owners of App Store apps who run subscriptions and releases and want to move routine work out of the App Store Connect web interface and into an agent.
Good fit when
- You need to revisit subscription prices by country without editing every territory by hand
- You need to create promo or win-back offers and check their localizations right away
- You need to submit a version for review or pull sales and finance reports without opening the console
Not a fit when
- You have no paid Apple Developer Program membership: without it there is no App Store Connect key
- You are not ready to let an agent change prices and submit versions for review
- You only need builds and TestFlight: a set of skills on the asc CLI covers those

ASC_KEY_IDrequired- App Store Connect API key ID
ASC_PRIVATE_KEY_PATHrequired, secret- Path to the .p8 private key file
ASC_IAP_ISSUER_ID- Issuer ID of the second In-App Purchase key, only for asc_sign_*
ASC_IAP_KEY_ID- ID of the second In-App Purchase key, only for asc_sign_*
ASC_IAP_PRIVATE_KEY_PATHsecret- Path to the In-App Purchase private key, only for asc_sign_*
ASC_VENDOR_NUMBER- Vendor number for sales and finance reports
Limitations
The server writes to App Store Connect: it changes prices, creates offers and submits versions for review, so confirm the agent's actions by hand. The key opens the developer account and finance reports. The private key lives in a .p8 file, and the server reads its path from ASC_PRIVATE_KEY_PATH. The asc_sign_* tools need a separate In-App Purchase key (ASC_IAP_* variables), and sales and finance reports need the vendor number in ASC_VENDOR_NUMBER. The author does not give an exact tool count. Anonymous error reports are off by default.
How to disable. Remove the appstoreconnect entry from the MCP client config (in Claude Code: claude mcp remove appstoreconnect), then revoke the API key in the App Store Connect keys section.
FAQ
What do I need to connect the server?
A paid Apple Developer Program membership, an App Store Connect API key and three variables: ASC_ISSUER_ID, ASC_KEY_ID and ASC_PRIVATE_KEY_PATH with the path to the .p8 file. The init wizard opens the keys page and helps record the values.
How do I check that everything is set up?
Run npx @akoskomuves/appstoreconnect-mcp doctor: the command checks the server setup.
What is PPP price rebalancing?
Purchasing power parity: a subscription price is set to match price levels in a country. The server can compute such prices for about 175 territories and apply them on a schedule.
Do I need a second key?
Only for the asc_sign_* tools: they use an In-App Purchase key (ASC_IAP_ISSUER_ID, ASC_IAP_KEY_ID, ASC_IAP_PRIVATE_KEY_PATH). The main key is enough for everything else.

README in short
The README presents the server as App Store Connect management from an MCP client: subscriptions and prices, PPP price rebalancing for about 175 territories, in-app purchases, offers, review and release, Xcode Cloud, signing and profiles, sandbox, age rating, sales and finance reports. Setup goes through the init wizard with a doctor check, or by hand with three environment variables. A separate section says anonymous error reports are off by default. MIT license.
