Manual install
Copy .env.example to .env, set YOUGILE_BASE_URL and YOUGILE_API_KEY (or email, password and company ID), run the server as an MCP process, and connect your client to http://<host>:3333/mcp.

What it does
The server runs as a local HTTP MCP endpoint and talks to YouGile directly, with no cloud middleman. It covers projects, boards, columns, tasks, comments, task search, employees and users, group chats and messages, project roles, departments, sprint and string stickers with their states, and administration: listing companies, listing and deleting API keys, and creating and updating users. The key can be set directly or obtained automatically from a login, password and company ID.
Who it is for. For anyone who wants to run the bridge between an agent and YouGile on their own machine and is willing to trust an agent with admin operations.
Good fit when
- You want the broadest YouGile API coverage among simple servers: roles, departments, stickers, admin
- You want to keep the server local, with no third-party cloud between the agent and YouGile
Not a fit when
- You're not ready to give an agent access to deleting API keys and managing company users
- It matters that the server doesn't listen on every interface: by default it binds 0.0.0.0

By default the server listens on 0.0.0.0:3333, meaning it's reachable over the network, not just locally; the port should be firewalled or YOUGILE_MCP_HOST changed. The key can be obtained automatically from a YouGile account email and password, which means handing the password to the server process. The repository has no license, tests or CI.
How to disable. Stop the server process and remove the yougile entry from your MCP client config.
