What it does
The server runs in Docker and exposes MCP over Streamable HTTP. Besides the usual set (profile, projects, boards, columns, tasks, users, chat messages), there's yougile_request, a universal tool that makes an arbitrary call to any YouGile API v2 endpoint by method, path and body, plus yougile_list_endpoints and yougile_get_schema to browse the built-in OpenAPI spec. A separate group of "convenience" tools finds projects, boards, columns and tasks by name instead of UUID: yougile_create_task_at creates a task straight from project, board and column names. If there's no key yet, yougile_create_api_key obtains one from a login, password and company ID.
Who it is for. For anyone deploying services via Docker Compose who wants universal access to the entire YouGile API, not limited to a fixed tool set.
Good fit when
- You already deploy services via Docker Compose and want YouGile MCP the same way
- You need access to YouGile API endpoints that don't have a dedicated tool yet
- You want to create tasks from project, board and column names in one call
Not a fit when
- You don't want to run Docker and a reverse proxy for one MCP server
- You don't want an agent making arbitrary API calls: yougile_request removes almost every guardrail

By default the container publishes the port only on 127.0.0.1; external access needs your own HTTPS reverse proxy and authorization, and the README explicitly warns against publishing it without them. yougile_request opens almost the whole API with no read/write distinction, leaving it to the client's prompt or policy to limit what an agent does. yougile_create_api_key accepts a YouGile account password through MCP.
How to disable. Stop the container with docker compose down and remove the reverse proxy if one was set up.

What does yougile_request do?
It makes an arbitrary HTTP call to any YouGile API v2 endpoint by method, path and parameters, a universal fallback when no dedicated tool exists.
Can I get an API key straight through MCP?
Yes, the yougile_create_api_key tool takes a login, password and company ID and creates a key, but after that you shouldn't keep passing the password through MCP.
