Broad access
Why this level
- The agent gets shell command execution, file writes and batch deletion and process termination on your machine
- Scheduled tasks call tools without your involvement, and the install runs a script from a third-party domain
Install
- Works in
Manual install
curl -fsSL https://files.lingti.com/install-lsbot.sh | bashFor macOS, Linux and WSL. On Windows use irm https://files.lingti.com/install-lsbot.ps1 | iex in PowerShell. Read the script before running it.

What it does
lsbot (Lean and Secure Bot) is a static binary of about 15 MB with no Node.js or Python. Its main mode is an MCP server: the `lsbot serve` command gives Claude Desktop and other MCP clients a set of local tools. Tools are grouped: nine for files (read, write, search, organise, batch delete, trash), two for the shell, four for system information, three for processes, four for the network, six for the macOS calendar, fourteen for browser control and five for scheduled tasks. The browser is driven over the CDP protocol on a snapshot-then-act pattern, and no Puppeteer or Playwright install is needed. Scheduled tasks use a cron expression and call any tool, for example `shell_execute` for a backup or `disk_usage` for a disk check. Task settings sit in the SQLite file `~/.lingti.db` and resume after a restart. Besides MCP, lsbot works as a message router for platforms such as WeCom, Feishu, DingTalk, Slack, Telegram and Discord and has a built-in web chat. Those modes are enabled with separate commands.
Who it is for. For people who want to give Claude Desktop or another MCP client a wide set of local tools in one binary and are ready to take responsibility for their rights.
Good fit when
- You want one binary instead of a set of separate MCP servers for files, shell and browser
- An agent must control a page in the browser: open, click, type, take snapshots and screenshots
- You need scheduled tasks, for example a nightly backup or a disk check every 15 minutes
- You need a server on a small device: builds exist for ARM and MIPS, so a Raspberry Pi, router or NAS fits
- You want one assistant for both an MCP client and the corporate chats Feishu, DingTalk and WeCom
Not a fit when
- The agent must not be allowed to run commands and delete files: the tools include a shell and batch delete
- You need a narrow read-only file server: a specialised MCP with reduced rights is a better pick
- You need calendar tools outside macOS: the six calendar tools are built for macOS
- Installing with a script from a third-party domain is not acceptable: the main route installs the binary with a ready-made script

Limitations
The main install route is a `curl ... | bash` script from the files.lingti.com domain, so read it before running it. A source build with `make` also exists. Calendar tools work on macOS, while the core functions support Windows, macOS and Linux.
The README is mostly in Chinese, and the English version is in README_EN.md. The MIT license badge is in the README, while GitHub itself did not detect a license.
The gateway and cloud relay modes sit outside MCP: they need AI provider keys and messaging platform credentials, and traffic goes through the lsbot.org and lsbot.net servers in encrypted form. Whether these servers are reachable from Russia was not checked for this card.
How to disable. Remove the lsbot entry from `claude_desktop_config.json` and restart the client. Scheduled tasks are stored in `~/.lingti.db`, and the command set includes `lsbot uninstall` for removal.
FAQ
How do I connect lsbot to Claude Desktop?
Install the binary and add a lsbot server with the command `lsbot` and the argument `serve` to `~/.config/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json`. After Claude Desktop restarts, more than 75 local tools become available.
Which tool groups does lsbot have?
Files (9), shell (2), system information (4), processes (3), network (4), calendar (6, macOS), browser (12) and scheduled tasks (5). They include batch file deletion and command execution.
How does lsbot control the browser?
Through the built-in CDP protocol on a snapshot-then-act pattern. It can click, type, take screenshots and manage tabs. Puppeteer and Playwright are not needed.
How do I create a scheduled task?
With the `cron_create` tool, giving a name, a cron expression, a tool and its arguments. For example, `0 9 * * 1-5` calls `notification_send` on weekdays at 9 am. Tasks can be paused, resumed and deleted.
How does gateway mode differ from MCP?
In MCP mode lsbot serves tools to a client such as Claude Desktop. In gateway mode it receives messages from platforms such as Feishu, DingTalk, WeCom or Telegram and answers through a chosen AI provider, which needs a provider key.

README in short
The page stresses three principles: encryption by default, a single static binary and data kept on your machine. A two-step quick start follows, then tables of messaging platforms and tools, a section on scheduled tasks and build examples for different systems.
