What it does
The server wraps the official moexalgo Python library into 24 MCP tools: three meta tools that need no exchange call (list engines, markets, alias resolution), ten market-wide tools and ten single-ticker tools (candles, quote snapshot, trades, TradeStats, OrderStats, ObStats, futures Futoi, HI2, MegaAlerts) and a production calendar. Four tools work without a key via public ISS, the other twenty need an ALGOPACK token. It understands market aliases like stocks, fo, fx and timeframes from one minute to a month.
Who it is for. For analysts and developers who need Moscow Exchange quantitative data right inside an agent conversation.
Good fit when
- You need candles or an order book snapshot for a specific ticker through an agent
- You need futures open-interest stats or HI2 across the whole market
- You want to use a market alias instead of the exact exchange code, like stocks instead of EQ
Not a fit when
- You have no ALGOPACK token: without it only four of the 24 tools work
- You need to trade or access a broker account: the server only reads market data

Twenty of the 24 tools require an ALGOPACK token, which the README says is currently free but that can change. The market-level candles tool returns only the last two one-minute candles; for historical data per ticker you need the ticker-level tool with a date range. Futoi is available only for the FO futures market.
How to disable. Remove the server from your MCP client config.

Do all tools need a token?
No, the three meta tools and static ticker info work without a token; the other 20 need ALGOPACK.
