What it does
The server from the Softeria organization gives an agent access to Microsoft 365 and Office through the Graph API. It launches with `npx @softeria/ms-365-mcp-server`. Flags: `--toon` changes the output format, `--org-mode` turns on tools for organizational accounts and `--list-permissions` shows the needed permissions. Sign-in goes through a Microsoft account and an Azure app, and the README lists the supported clouds. The npm package is `@softeria/ms-365-mcp-server`, version 0.158.0 from 02.10.2026, MIT license.
Who it is for. For people who work in Microsoft 365 and want an agent to read mail, files and the calendar and act in them on request.
Good fit when
- You need to find a mail or file and reply to them from an agent
- You need to manage the calendar through an agent
- You need a Microsoft 365 server with a mode for organizational accounts
Not a fit when
- You need an official Microsoft server: this is unofficial, and Microsoft has Work IQ
- You are not ready to let an agent read mail and change files
Example request
Find the mails from the accounting department from the last week and make a list of invoices with amountsMCP
- Transport
- stdio
- Authentication
- OAuth
Limitations
The server is unofficial: it is published by the Softeria organization and not by Microsoft. It works with mail, files and the calendar, so access is wide, and the rights depend on the Azure permissions granted. The --list-permissions flag shows which rights are needed, do not grant extra. Availability of Microsoft 365 from Russia is not stated in the documentation.
How to disable. Remove the server entry from the client config and revoke the Azure app's permissions in the Microsoft account settings.
