What it does
All-In-One Free SEO Tool runs on your own machine as a web app with 92 tools: technical audits, rank tracking, keyword research, AI-search visibility, content briefs, backlinks, local SEO and client reports. The database and data stay with the owner. The built-in MCP server exposes that data to an agent over stdio or HTTP. The `plugins/seo-tool` plugin adds five skills: `seo-client-setup`, `seo-fix-pass`, `seo-audit-report`, `seo-keyword-plan` and `seo-task-runner`. The `seo-fix-pass` skill writes fixes through the CMS, reads them back to confirm and records an undo.
Who it is for. SEO specialists and small agencies who run several clients and want their own platform instead of Ahrefs and Semrush subscriptions.
Good fit when
- A client report needs a readable account of where a site stands.
- Titles and meta descriptions on a WordPress site must be rewritten and verified after writing.
- A keyword strategy should be built from what the client actually sells.
- An agent should work through tasks from a list inside the client's project folder.
Not a fit when
- You need an Ahrefs-grade backlink index: the tool uses Search Console and Common Crawl data.
- You need exact monthly keyword volumes without connecting a paid source.
- Edits to a live site cannot be trusted to an agent even with undo.

You deploy the tool yourself: an install script, Docker or a release archive. Under Docker the container will not start without `APP_PASSWORD`. The plugin ships no MCP server: the app settings print the connection command, and without it the skills have nothing to talk to. Writing fixes to WordPress needs a separate bridge plugin and key. Keyword volumes are estimates; real numbers need an external source. The `seo-fix-pass` skill changes a live site, so autonomy limits and undo are set in the app itself.
How to disable. Stop the app with `docker compose down` or the `STOP` script. Remove the MCP entry and plugin from the agent, and deactivate the WordPress bridge in the site's admin.
FAQ
How do I check that MCP is connected?
Call `list_clients`. If the server answers, the connection works; the app settings show the connect command for your install.
Are there permission limits?
HTTP has a read-only token and a full-access token. The first cannot run the agent or apply fixes, so it is the one to paste into a chat app.
Where do I start with the skills?
With `seo-client-setup` for a new client. The other skills read what it writes and perform worse without it.
Are paid APIs required?
No. The tool works with free Gemini and Groq keys, and paid sources are optional.
How do fixes reach the site?
Through the CMS: WordPress needs a separate bridge plugin and its key pasted into the client record in the app. Everything else works without the bridge.
