What it does
The `jmo-workflow` plugin from the `jmo-skills` marketplace gathers the skills from the author's hackathon process in one place. In Claude Code they run as prefixed commands: `/jmo-workflow:interview` questions you about a project and saves an implementation plan in `.plans/`, `/jmo-workflow:ste` rewrites technical explanations in plain, precise language, `/jmo-workflow:codex` hands an implementation, review or second opinion to the Codex CLI. Three skills come unchanged from other authors: Jakub Krehel's `better-ui` polishes interfaces, icons and motion, Emil Kowalski's `animate` builds purposeful animations, Benji Taylor's `agentation` attaches visual feedback to page elements. Credits and pinned revisions are listed in `THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md` and `UPSTREAM.json`. The repository also holds the `jmo-supabase`, `jmo-neon` and `jmo-stripe` plugins: each contains the public MCP server URL of the service, with no keys. The account is connected with `/mcp` in Claude Code.
Who it is for. People who build weekend prototypes in Claude Code and want a ready set that runs from an idea interview to a polished interface.
Good fit when
- The idea is raw and a spec derived from an interview should come before code
- An architecture write-up came out heavy and has to be rewritten in plain language
- The interface works but animations and icons look unfinished
- An implementation or a review is worth handing to the Codex CLI as a second pair of hands
- Supabase, Neon or Stripe gets attached to a prototype in a test environment
Not a fit when
- There is no signed-in Codex CLI: the `codex` skill starts nothing without it
- You want `better-ui` or `animate` at their latest versions: the plugin holds snapshots, so look for updates at the authors
- The work touches a production database or live Stripe: the MCP plugins are meant for dev projects and sandboxes
Example request
/jmo-workflow:interview I want a feedback collection service for a hackathon. Interview me and save an implementation plan.Limitations
The `codex` skill needs an installed and signed-in Codex CLI. The `agentation` setup installs an application package into the project, and live feedback works only with its MCP server.
`better-ui` and `animate` are unchanged snapshots of other repositories, each under its own MIT license. The `agentation` skill ships under PolyForm Shield 1.0.0 and is not covered by the repository's MIT license.
The optional MCP plugins create no database, Stripe account or subscription: sign-in uses your own service account. Installing through `npx skills` gives short skill names without the prefix. The last commit is from October 2026.
How to disable. Remove the plugin with `claude plugin uninstall jmo-workflow@jmo-skills`. For skills installed through `npx skills`, delete their directories from the agent's skills folder.
FAQ
How do I install jmo-skills in Claude Code?
Run `claude plugin marketplace add 23jmo/jmo-skills`, then `claude plugin install jmo-workflow@jmo-skills` and restart Claude Code. Commands appear with a prefix, for example `/jmo-workflow:interview`.
Can I take the skills without the plugin?
Yes. `npx skills add 23jmo/jmo-skills` installs all skills into other agents, and `--skill interview` selects one. Names are short in this mode, without the `jmo-workflow:` prefix.
Do I need a Supabase, Neon or Stripe account?
Only for the optional MCP plugins. They carry public server URLs, and sign-in goes through `/mcp` under your own account. For Stripe the author advises a sandbox.
What does the ste skill do?
It rewrites technical explanations in clear, precise language. The author notes that it is a practical writing guide and does not claim formal ASD-STE100 compliance.
What is the agentation skill?
Benji Taylor's skill for visual feedback attached to page elements. Setup installs an application package into the project, and live feedback needs its MCP server. The license is PolyForm Shield 1.0.0, not MIT.
