What it does
A Claude Code plugin marketplace for Shopware development, run by Shopware Labs. It holds 10 plugins. The dev-tooling plugin connects three MCP servers: PHP (PHPStan, ECS, PHPUnit with coverage gap analysis, Symfony Console, Rector), the administration and the storefront (ESLint, Stylelint, Jest, TypeScript, Vite and Webpack builds). Environments: native, Docker, Docker Compose, Vagrant and DDEV. The other plugins are made of skills. test-writing generates PHPUnit tests and checks them against a catalog of 43 rules, ci-failure-interpretation reads GitHub Actions logs, contributor-writing writes ADRs, pull request descriptions and commit messages, shopware-env sets up a development environment, and code-migration moves extension XML configuration to PHP before Shopware 6.8. chunkhound-integration adds semantic code search. Only dev-tooling installs in Codex.
Who it is for. Developers of Shopware 6 extensions and core who work in Claude Code and run a PHP project with PHPStan and PHPUnit.
Good fit when
- PHPStan, ECS and PHPUnit have to run from chat with a summary and no manual launch
- Unit tests are generated for a Shopware 6 class and checked against the rule catalog
- CI in GitHub Actions failed, and you need to know which linter or test is to blame
- A pull request is headed to core, and you need an ADR, a description and a RELEASE_INFO entry
- An extension keeps XML configuration that has to move to PHP before 6.8
Not a fit when
- The project is not on Shopware: the plugins are tuned to its structure and rules
- You need GitHub tooling: it moved to a separate repository, shopwareLabs/github-agent-tools
- The agent runs on another platform: manifests exist only for Claude Code and Codex, and in Codex only `dev-tooling` fits
Example request
Generate unit tests for src/Core/Content/Product/ProductEntity.php.Limitations
The project is experimental and run by Shopware Labs, and it is not named an official Shopware product. `dev-tooling` needs `bash` 4.1 or newer (the stock `/bin/bash` in macOS is 3.2 and does not fit) and `jq`. Claude Code must be restarted after installing plugins with MCP servers. Setting up `dev-tooling` and `chunkhound-integration` goes through a separate plugin, `plugin-setup`. The `code-contribution-analysis` skills stop with an error if ChunkHound is unavailable.
How to disable. Remove a plugin with `/plugin uninstall dev-tooling@shopware-ai-coding-tools`, changing the plugin name for the others. The plugin-setup plugin is also uninstalled after setup: `/plugin uninstall plugin-setup@shopware-ai-coding-tools`.
