What it does
The package installs with npm i ai-labs-claude-skills, and its postinstall script, install-skills.mjs, copies 24 skills from packages/skills/ into the user's project. Each skill lives in its own folder with scripts and its own SKILL.md: seo-optimizer checks a site against a meta-tag, heading, schema and mobile-optimization checklist; csv-data-visualizer builds charts from CSV; docker-containerization prepares a container config; cicd-pipeline-generator assembles a pipeline file; business-document-generator, pitch-deck, resume-manager and travel-planner cover common personal and business documents. For the SEO skill the repository spells out a specific order: first analyze the site with a script from scripts/, then apply the fixes found against a checklist of meta tags, headings, images, schema, mobile optimization and technical SEO, and finish with a report. The other skills follow the same principle: SKILL.md states when to use the skill and ships a script or template that Claude runs directly. Building the package runs through npm run build, which copies packages/skills into dist/skills, and npm run gen:pkg and npm run gen:index, backed by create-packages.js and generate-index-files.js, fill in missing package.json files and indexes for any new skill the author or a contributor adds to packages/skills/.
Who it is for. For developers and freelancers who want a ready set of skills for common tasks, from a site SEO audit to a pitch deck or resume, without assembling each skill one by one.
Good fit when
- You want several different skills installed at once quickly, say an SEO audit, Docker setup and a CI/CD pipeline generator, with one npm command
- There is a CSV with data and a chart is needed without writing visualization code from scratch: csv-data-visualizer handles that from a template
- A draft business document, pitch deck or resume is needed, to be refined by hand afterward
- The project already uses npm for dependencies, and keeping skills there alongside the rest of the code is convenient
- You want to add your own skill to the same bundle: the packages/skills/ layout and generator scripts are ready to take a new folder
Not a fit when
- You only want one specific skill without the other 23: the package installs all of them at once through postinstall, and the README describes no selective install
- You need a skill's version straight from a specialized author: this is one team's personal collection, not a curated set from domain-specific maintainers
- You need install with no Node.js and no npm: the only documented path is npm install, and the README gives no other route
Example request
Install ai-labs-claude-skills and run the seo-optimizer skill on this site's home page, showing a report of the issues it findsLimitations
Install runs through the install-skills.mjs postinstall script, which copies all 24 skills at once; the README gives no way to pick a subset during install. The package's own description on npm and on its GitHub card has visible typos and an informal tone, pointing to a small-scale maintenance effort. Different skills cover different domains, from SEO to nutrition and resumes, and each one's script needs a separate check against the project's actual stack before trusting its output.
How to disable. Remove the package with npm uninstall ai-labs-claude-skills. The postinstall script does not automatically clean up the copied skill folders in the project; delete them by hand if they are no longer needed.
FAQ
How do I install ai-labs-claude-skills?
With npm i ai-labs-claude-skills in the project folder. The install-skills.mjs script runs automatically and copies all 24 skills from packages/skills/.
Can I install just one skill from the set?
The package installs all 24 skills at once through postinstall; the README describes no selective install. Unwanted folders can be deleted by hand afterward.
How does the SEO skill in this set work?
seo-optimizer first analyzes the site with a script from its own scripts/ folder, then applies fixes against a checklist of meta tags, headings, images, schema and mobile optimization, finishing with a report.
How do I add my own skill to this set?
Create a new folder inside packages/skills/ with a SKILL.md file, then run npm run gen:pkg and npm run gen:index: the create-packages.js and generate-index-files.js scripts fill in the missing files.
Does it need Node.js to install?
Yes, the package ships through npm and needs Node.js 18 or newer; the README gives no other install path.

README in short
The README presents the package as a collection of reusable Claude skills with an emphasis on modularity and a repeatable build, gives the install command and a three-step quick start: install, build, generate missing files. It continues with a list of example use cases from an SEO report to a CI/CD pipeline and instructions for contributors on adding a new skill with its own SKILL.md to the shared structure.
