What it does
AI Vibe Writing Skills is a set of prompts, templates and workflows for academic writing that lives in a local repository. The entry point is `SKILL.md`, and the agent roles sit in `.ai_context/prompts`: extracting author style, outlining, drafting and reviewing text, finding missing links between sentences, and checking the logic of a systems paper. Other roles prepare replies to reviewers, read PDFs, fix LaTeX build errors and study other papers to borrow argument techniques without copying. The author's habits, terms and corrections are stored in files, so the next session continues from the same context. Optional local scripts exist, such as Local Style Lint and PDF parsing.
Who it is for. Graduate students and researchers writing LaTeX papers who want the agent to keep their style, terms and revision history.
Good fit when
- An agent must rewrite a chapter without breaking terminology and formulas.
- Reviewer comments arrive and a formal reply must reflect the edits made.
- Paragraphs read in jerks and missing links between sentences must be found.
- A strong paper is studied to borrow its argument structure, not its wording.
Not a fit when
- You want an anti-plagiarism or AI-detector evasion tool; the authors explicitly rule out that goal.
- The text is not academic and unrelated to manuscripts.
- A guarantee of paper acceptance is expected.
Example request
Read AI-Vibe-Writing-Skills/SKILL.md and rewrite the last two paragraphs of the introduction, keeping terms and formulas.Limitations
The README is in Chinese and English. Skill auto-discovery depends on the tool: the authors advise naming the `SKILL.md` path explicitly and not assuming rules are loaded because files exist. PDF handling through MinerU and `magic-pdf` is optional and version-dependent. The repository does not replace fact checking; sources and citations are the author's job. Rules live in local files, so private manuscripts and reviewer comments sit next to the code: do not publish such a repository.
How to disable. Remove the `SKILL.md` reference from project instructions and delete the repository folder together with `.ai_context`.
FAQ
Which file do I start with?
`SKILL.md`. The full list of roles and templates is in `SKILLS.md`.
Do I need Python or an API?
Not for basic writing: resources are Markdown. Dependencies are needed only for optional scripts, such as PDF parsing with `pypdf`.
Can I use it in Cursor or VS Code?
Yes, if the tool reads local files. It may not auto-load skills, so give the `SKILL.md` path explicitly.
Does it hide AI authorship?
No. The README says reducing AI flavour means fixing redundancy and vagueness, not tuning for detectors.
Where are author corrections stored?
In `.ai_context/memory` files, so the next session sees the same terms and decisions.

README in short
The author makes the decisions and the agent does checkable editorial work. Facts come from source material and memory stores conventions and corrections.
