What it does
A package of two skills. appllama-usage explains how to study screens of top-grossing apps through the Appllama MCP: search by category, break down onboarding and paywalls, extract patterns before building. appllama-app-design-skill sets the bar for building native screens in Expo and React Native: Apple HIG fidelity, semantic colors, native controls, navigation rules (push and replace, modals and sheets, one-way screens with no back), restrained Reanimated motion and a simulator loop that records the whole flow. The design skill works without the MCP, while the research skill needs the Appllama MCP connected.

The appllama-usage skill runs through the Appllama MCP at mcp.appllama.io: access is part of the paid Pro plan and every call spends a credit. The MCP server is hosted by the vendor and needs an Appllama account, and may be unreachable from Russia without a VPN. The design skill is self-contained and does not need the MCP. The Appllama name and logo are trademarks; the MIT license does not grant rights to them.
How to disable. Remove the skill folders from the agent's skills directory and disable the Appllama MCP connector in the client settings.

No. The appllama-app-design-skill gives the native build bar without the MCP. The MCP is needed by appllama-usage for studying real screens.
