Broad access
Why this level
- Each skill's instructions are fetched from npm at run time, and the agent itself runs the commands
- Some skills sign in to accounts (bookings, an employer portal, tax invoices) and take secrets from a password manager or a file
- Requests go through the developer's shared proxy, and a usage counter goes to PostHog
Install
- Works in
In your terminal, with SkillFoxx CLI
npx skillfoxx add skills/k-skillDetects the agents on your machine, shows the access level and pins the version.

What it does
k-skill is a collection of skills that teaches an agent to work with Korean services and open data. By its README it holds 125 skills grouped by topic: transport (KTX timetables, bus tickets, Seoul subway, parking), real estate and registries, laws and government services, business and taxes, procurement, job search, finance and statistics, health, shops and marketplaces, sports, culture, news, the Korean language, weather and air quality, HWP documents, plus horoscopes and name picking. Each folder holds a SKILL.md, an instruction file and a `skill.json` file. The SKILL.md itself is only a short stub. It tells the agent to run `npx -y @nomadamas/k-skill@0 instruct <skill name>` and treat the output as the primary instruction: the command-line tool detects the runtime and prints current text. Some skills call public APIs through the shared proxy `k-skill-proxy.nomadamas.org`, which holds the keys for government APIs, some read open web pages of services, and some work with your own account (bus and forest cabin booking, an employer account, Popbill). For keys and logins there is the `~/.config/k-skill/secrets.env` file with 0600 permissions and password manager support. The `k-skill-setup` skill walks through the first setup, checking secrets and environment variables, and `k-skill-cleaner` uses run statistics to suggest which skills to delete.
Who it is for. For people who live or work in Korea or run a business there, read Korean and want an agent to handle routine tasks in local services.
Good fit when
- You need to check KTX timetables, find a seat on a KOBUS bus and get to the payment page without manual searching
- You need a real estate price, an official land valuation or building register details
- You need to vet a partner by business number: tax status, pension contributions, arrears and permits
- You need to find a Korean law, a specific article or case law with a source link
- You need to open an `.hwp` or `.hwpx` file and get Markdown text or compare two documents
Not a fit when
- You do not read Korean: skill output and service names are in Korean
- You need one service and none of the rest: loading all 125 skills at once is heavy, so pick the ones you need with `--skill`
- The machine has no Node.js 18 or newer: the skill stubs fetch instructions through `npx`
- You need an official bank or marketplace client: the skills only call open pages and APIs and do not replace an agreement with the service
- You want data written into other systems without your confirmation: the skills leave payments and form submissions to you by design
Example request
Find tomorrow morning's KTX trains from Seoul to Busan and show prices, but do not book anythingLimitations
- Each skill's SKILL.md only sends the agent to `npx -y @nomadamas/k-skill@0 instruct` for the instruction text. What the agent executes is fetched from npm on every run and can change without your knowledge, so decide whether you trust that channel.
- Many skills go through the developer's shared proxy `k-skill-proxy.nomadamas.org`, and its operator can see the requests. Data handling and the privacy policy are on its `/privacy` page.
- The CLI sends a usage counter to PostHog: a random identifier, the command and skill name, the version and a success flag, with no arguments or content. You can opt out with `KSKILL_ANALYTICS_DISABLED=1`.
- Skills that read public service pages or sign in to an account (employer portals, bookings) are meant for personal queries. They may be applied only to systems and data you have permission to use, and the author's legal disclaimer forbids bulk collection and circumventing access limits.
- The main part is MIT, but the proxy directories `packages/k-skill-proxy` and the monitoring dashboard are licensed AGPL-3.0-only. Some services need your own keys and logins in `~/.config/k-skill/secrets.env`.
How to disable. Delete the installed skill folders from the agent's directory or reinstall only the skills you need. For the Claude Code plugin use the usual plugin management commands. Delete the keys file `~/.config/k-skill/secrets.env` and the statistics identifier `~/.config/k-skill/analytics-id` by hand. The `KSKILL_ANALYTICS_DISABLED=1` variable turns off usage statistics.
FAQ
What does the stub in SKILL.md do?
It requires `npx -y @nomadamas/k-skill@0 instruct <skill name>` as the first step and treats the output as the primary instruction. The tool detects the runtime, for example the Dolshoi cloud environment or a generic one, and prints only the applicable text. `files` lists helper files and `update` performs updates. If `npx` is unavailable, the stub points to the instructions in the repository.
How do I install fewer than all the skills?
`npx --yes skills add NomaDamas/k-skill --skill railway-timetable -g` installs one skill and the `--all` flag installs all of them. In Claude Code the plugin route works too: `/plugin marketplace add NomaDamas/k-skill`, then `/plugin install k-skill@k-skill`, after which skills are called as `/k-skill:<name>`.
Can the bus booking skill pay for tickets?
No. The `express-bus-booking` skill goes as far as seat selection, a temporary hold and a link to the official payment page, while the user enters the card and accepts terms. The KTX rail skill is read-only and does not sign in to an account at all.
Where are passwords and keys kept?
The order is: the Dolshoi environment's cloud vault first, then already injected environment variables, then password managers such as 1Password, Bitwarden and the macOS keychain, and finally the `~/.config/k-skill/secrets.env` file with 0600 permissions. The author notes that the file is plain text and serves as a fallback.
What does thin wrapper mean in some skill descriptions?
Such skills, for example `korean-privacy-terms` and `korean-jangbu-for`, point to third-party `kimlawtech` projects: k-skill adds them to the common set while the original project does the work. For `korean-privacy-terms` the README names the Apache-2.0 license.

README in short
The repository's front page, in Korean, urges downloading the set in advance and immediately shows install and update commands. Then come tables of skills by topic with links to descriptions, a section on installing as a Claude Code plugin, the first steps with `k-skill-setup`, a list of documents (installation, secrets, proxy, releases, roadmap, sources) and license details. A note on third-party names says there is no affiliation with the owning companies. The repository holds proxy packages, tests and a description for each skill.
