What it does
A set of five skills, each in its own folder with a `SKILL.md`: `paper2slides` builds a `.pptx` deck, `paper2poster` makes `poster.html` and `poster.png`, `paper2html` builds a single-page project site `index.html`, `paper2xhs` prepares a multi-image Xiaohongshu post and `paper2wechat` writes a WeChat Official Account article. The agent triggers on phrases like "make slides from this paper" or "turn this paper into a poster". Text and figures are pulled from the PDF through MinerU, so a `MINERU_API_TOKEN` is required. Install scripts symlink the skills into `~/.claude/skills/`.
Who it is for. Paper authors and research groups who need to package their work quickly for a conference, a project site and Chinese social platforms.
Good fit when
- A conference needs a poster for an accepted paper.
- A paper needs a single-page project site with figures.
- A paper must be retold as a Xiaohongshu post with a cover and images.
- A talk is built on slides assembled straight from the PDF.
Not a fit when
- You need scientific review: the skills package a paper rather than review it.
- The PDF cannot be sent to an external text extraction service.
- You need an output beyond the five listed formats.

Parsing a PDF needs a `MINERU_API_TOKEN` in `.env`, so the paper content is processed by the external MinerU service. Installation assumes a conda environment with playwright chromium and system dependencies the script only checks for. Some outputs, Xiaohongshu and WeChat, target Chinese platforms, and the README is bilingual. The result needs proofreading: the skills assemble material but do not verify scientific claims. The last repository commit is from July 2026.
How to disable. Remove the `paper2*` symlinks from `~/.claude/skills/`. Delete the conda environment and the `.env` file with the token separately.
FAQ
How do I install the pack?
Run `bash tools/install-linux.sh --create-env --shell-init` on Linux or `bash tools/install-macos.sh --create-env --shell-init` on macOS. The script links five skills into `~/.claude/skills/`.
What is `MINERU_API_TOKEN` for?
The token is used to extract text and figures from the PDF. Put it into the `.env` created from `.env.example`.
Can I install a single skill?
Yes, the README describes a manual install: symlink the skill you want into `~/.claude/skills/`.
What do the script flags do?
`--create-env` creates or updates the conda environment and installs playwright chromium; `--shell-init` writes `.env` auto-export into your shell startup file.
What does `paper2html` produce?
A single-page project site `index.html`. The skill triggers on phrases like "turn this paper into a webpage".
