What it does
qu-ai-wei rewrites Chinese text that reads as if a neural network wrote it. The skill restructures sentences, paragraphs and the layout of long pieces, and removes stock openers, mechanical first-then-finally lists, English calques and over-smooth phrasing. It adds no new opinions, anecdotes or details. Before editing, the skill scans the text for passwords and keys: if it finds any, it stops and asks you to replace them with a placeholder. It then locks numbers, names, dates, terms, quotes and the author's judgments so the rewrite moves none of them. Next it looks for eight families of AI-style patterns, reorders facts, explanations and conclusions, and rereads the result to confirm that causes and the strength of evidence stayed the same. By default the reply has three parts: a short check of the text, the final version and an editing report. If an edit touches the logic, the skill lists those spots separately for the author to confirm. It leaves lively personal writing with its own details and self-irony alone until you explicitly ask for a rewrite.
Who it is for. For people who write, edit or translate Simplified Chinese: copywriters, marketers, editors and technical writers.
Good fit when
- A Chinese draft came out of a neural network and needs to sound natural without losing numbers or conclusions
- A project description or pull request in Chinese must go out without a report: ask for the final text only
- A long article needs its paragraphs and headings reordered as a whole
- A text for the Chinese market is written in a formal register and you want the empty openers gone while the register stays
- A translation into Chinese from English sounds literal, with calqued phrasing
Not a fit when
- The text is in Russian, English or Traditional Chinese: the skill handles Simplified Chinese only
- You need a translation or an article from scratch: the skill writes and translates nothing
- You only need a typo check: the skill is not built for that
- You want to hide AI involvement from a school, journal or employer: the skill does not help bypass their AI-use rules
- The text contains passwords, API keys or tokens: the skill stops and asks you to remove them
Example request
帮我去 AI 味:[paste a paragraph in Simplified Chinese]Limitations
The skill handles Simplified Chinese only. Its instructions are written in Chinese, so reports and notes in the reply also arrive in Chinese. The project is at stage 0.x: rules, classification and the reply format may change between releases.
The skill runs inside an agent, so you need an agent with access to a model. The OpenAI and Anthropic APIs are unavailable from Russia, and whether your agent works without extra setup depends on your model provider. Installing requires Node.js and npm.
The skill does not promise that text will pass an AI detector and is not built for that. Literary, legal and academic texts still need your own read: the edit changes structure, and you check the meaning.
How to disable. Delete the qu-ai-wei folder from your agent's skills directory and start a new session. The skill creates no keys or settings.
FAQ
How do I install qu-ai-wei in Claude Code?
Run `npx skills add https://github.com/LifelongLazyLearner/qu-ai-wei`: the installer finds the supported tools on your machine. To pick targets yourself, add `-a codex -a claude-code -a kimi-code-cli`. After installing, start a new session or reload skills.
How is qu-ai-wei different from ordinary humanizer skills?
It works with Simplified Chinese only and is built around Chinese AI-style patterns and translationese. The method is inspired by the Humanizer skill, and the author took the rules on Chinese translationese from an analysis on yage.ai. It reorders paragraphs and the order of exposition and does not rely on swapping words from a list.
Will the skill rewrite any text I paste?
No. If you only paste text without asking for an edit and it carries a lively personal voice, the skill leaves it as is. If you explicitly ask for a rewrite, it edits structure but keeps personal details and intonation.
Will it damage a technical or business text?
Technical terms, causal links and the level of formality stay. In the documentation example, a sentence about latency and the context window loses only an empty opener, and the terms are neither translated nor softened.
How do I get only the final text without a report?
Say so in the request, for example: «用 qu-ai-wei 改写下面的 PR 描述,只输出终稿正文». The limits on facts and register still apply, and the skill gets no permission to write files, commit or publish.

README in short
Three before-and-after examples show: removing empty openers while keeping numbers, editing a technical text without making it chatty, and a case where lively writing is left untouched. It also has a table of ten common Chinese AI structures with notes on when to fix them and when to keep them. It covers one-command installation, supported tools (Codex, Claude Code, Kimi Code CLI, Cursor, OpenCode), a five-step workflow and the limits of use. Detailed rules live in the references folder: a pattern catalog, editing boundaries and examples.

--- name: qu-ai-wei description: | Rewrite and humanize Simplified Chinese while preserving facts, meaning, evidence strength, register, and authorial voice.
