What it does

The skill tunes the agent for Chinese texts that read like a specific person speaking, with facts, judgment and a lively rhythm. First it checks whether there is material: for nonfiction it requires concrete facts, figures, quotes and lived experience, and when they are missing it asks to research, question or shorten rather than pad. For fiction it allows inventing characters and scenes, but each scene must carry action and change. The rules are split across references: forum and editorial prose, nonfiction and fiction, special formats such as spoken scripts and reviews, and a separate checklist for revising a finished draft. The finished text bans colons used for effect, em dashes, the not-this-but-that construction and typical model cliches, and the check_prose.py script enforces only the hard bans. There is a distilled version of a couple of thousand characters to paste into a chat.

Limitations

The skill and all references are written in Chinese and target Chinese-language writing; it does not fit other languages. The check_prose.py script needs Python and enforces only explicitly stated hard bans, while warnings do not decide style for the author. The skill deliberately refuses to write a long nonfiction text when there is not enough concrete material.

How to disable. Remove the human-writing folder from the agent's skills directory, for example ~/.claude/skills or ~/.agents/skills.

The README presents a lively-writing skill that helps a model write Chinese texts as if a specific person were speaking. The skill first checks for material, separates nonfiction and fiction tasks and keeps rules in separate references by text type. The finished text bans colons used for effect, em dashes and cliches, and version 1.1 shifted the defense from specific words to techniques, for example banning the move of planting a false belief in the reader and then overturning it. It installs by sending the link to an agent or copying the human-writing folder into the skills directory. It ships a Python check script and a distilled version to paste into a chat, under the MIT license.
