What it does

The skill bundle lets an agent research Reddit through the third-party reddapi.dev service, without OAuth or app registration. The main reddit-research skill searches by meaning rather than keywords across a large index of subreddits, posts and comments, shows trends over a date range and helps find relevant subreddits. Separate skills include reddit-leads for finding posts with buying intent and scoring leads, reddit-search-api as a plain API reference, and a legacy reddapi skill for older installs. All calls use an API key, and the service has plans and limits.

Limitations

The skills work only through the third-party reddapi.dev service; this is not the official Reddit API. A REDDAPI_API_KEY is required, and access is limited by plan-based rate limits; an invalid or exhausted key returns HTTP 429. Vector search with date filters and the reddit-leads skill require a paid plan.

How to disable. Remove the reddit-research skill folder from the agent's skills directory and drop the REDDAPI_API_KEY from the environment.
