Install

Установи навык https://github.com/talkstream/ru-text глобально и вызывай его, когда работа идет над качеством русского текста: вычитка, типографика, очистка от нейрослопа, редактура, UX-тексты, деловая переписка — или по прямому упоминанию ru-text.

Prompt from the README; start a new session after installing.

This is third-party code. Review the repository files before installing.

What it does

The skill silently fixes typography in the agent's Russian output: guillemets, dashes and non-breaking spaces. On request it runs a full proofread that removes bureaucratic style, stop words and AI slop, fixes UX copy and business correspondence, and cites a quote and rule for each change. A scoring command gives 0 to 10 across five dimensions. A corpus of over 2,000 rules lives in 10 reference files loaded on demand.

Who it is for. Anyone writing Russian with an agent: editors, marketers, technical writers, UX designers and developers.

Good fit when

  • You need to proofread an email, post or docs before sending
  • You want a text scored against a clear rubric before publishing
  • You need to fix button, error and empty-state copy in a UI
  • You want the agent to apply Russian typography automatically

Not a fit when

  • You need fact-checking or audience fit: the rubric explicitly does not measure that
  • The text is not in Russian

Example request

Proofread this email to a client

Limitations

Rules are defaults and yield to an explicit style request. The skill does not rewrite files unless asked and leaves quotes and code untouched. One-off installs have no auto-update, and the Claude Code community marketplace version lags behind by months.

How to disable. In Claude Code disable it via /plugin; elsewhere delete the skill directory.

Security check

  • Instructions and reference files only, no network requests

README in short

ru-text is a Russian proofreading skill for AI agents with a corpus of over 2,000 rules. It cleans up typography, bureaucratic style and 17 signs of machine text, naming the rule behind each fix. It installs via a prompt to the agent or npx skills add and npx skillsbd add, and there is a ChatGPT plugin card. The README credits sources including Gorbunov, Milchin, Ilyakhov and Nora Gal. # ru-text — Russian Text Quality

Independent Russian text quality reference by Arseniy Kamyshev.
With gratitude to the authors whose work shaped modern Russian text standards.
Credits and recommended reading: `references/sources.md`

**Style priority**: if the user explicitly requests a specific style (casual, academic, SEO, literary, etc.), their prompt overrides these default rules where they conflict. These rules are defaults, not mandates.

**Reviewing vs. rewriting**: when *checking* or proofreading existing text or a file, return the corrected version plus a list of changes — do not silently overwrite the source file. Rewrite a file in place only when the user explicitly asks.

**Someone else's words stay theirs**: quoted material, code blocks and third-party text inside the user's document are reproduced as-is. Report an issue you see in them if it matters; never rewrite them.
